The PS4 Pro only launched yesterday, but there are already some kinks that really need ironed out sooner rather than later. As reported by the folks over at NeoGAF, recently released role-playing title World of Final Fantasy actually looks worse when running on the Pro than it does on a standard PlayStation 4.
As with any game that features Pro support, World of Final Fantasy has a patch that should enhance the title's visuals when it's played on Sony's supercharged system. That's not quite the case here, though, as the game suffers from a poorly judged depth of field effect that appears to blur far too much of the screen. Bleugh.
Here's hoping that Square Enix fixes this up in the near future - but until that happens, let us know if you've ran into any similar problems in the comments section below.

Ridiculous - didn't they test it once?
That said, I'm not clear - is this on a 4k screen or just on a standard HD?
Sold my PS4 a couple days after getting this game. Now that I have my Pro... I"ll have to wait to AGAIN until it's either fixed, or a super sample toggle is implemented.
@NathanUC Just don't install the patch, if you can.

Digital Foundry noticed that The Last of Us Remastered also runs worse on Pro than on the regular model.
Hope it's fixed soon.
i got it on PS Vita and it looks great on there, still you would think that the Pro version would at least run the same as the PS4 version

I'm playing right now on the pro so I see what they mean, hopefully they get another patch. I'm just love the music in this game though!

@FullbringIchigo Vita version has some pretty bad frame rate drops here and there compared to the standard PS4 version. It's almost certainly a bad/rushed patch that is causing the visual issues on PS4 Pro. Either the higher resolution is breaking some of their other visual effects, or they had to disable to them to hit a targeted resolution. Either way, it's unacceptable.

as for the pro version yeah it is unacceptable, i wonder if any other PS4 games will suffer from this problem in the first year while companies get used to the new system?
@FullbringIchigo Yeah, I'm just attributing most of these to being patches for older games. Any game developed from the ground up with PS4 and PS4 Pro both in mind should be heaps better. Either way, the Pro modes should be OPTIONAL. It's silly that we don't have the choice to run native resolution vs super sampled resolution/higher resolution.

@ShogunRok What I'm struggling with is calibrating my picture settings to get the best visuals possible. I've got a "Game" setting but my god does it make it bright. I am trying to play Dishonoured 2 and the only visual setting available is brightness. I've scoured forum after forum with countless people posting countless settings. I'm gona go lie down in a dark room lol
Man, it's almost like developing a product for two SKU's takes twice the testing companies are used to. Le gasp!
@blakey78 Make sure you've had a good fiddle with your TV's setting as well. A lot of TVs come with default picture settings that aren't really best for gaming.
PS4 and Vita versions were identical in my eyes, and the Vita version cost almost 40$ less. I'm happy with my purchase, recently beat the game. Really fun, almost made me go out and buy Pokemon...almost.
I hope this will be fixed by the time I get around to play it, after I finished titanfall 2 and rise of the tomb raider I'll play the game.
So TLoU looks worse when downsampling for 1080p screens, a game made by a 1st party studio. This game and Deus Ex look worse in either resolution...and these are the guys releasing FFXV in a couple of weeks. Skyrim looks good (albeit with that horrible yellow filter) but takes a hit in framerate.
Is there anything besides Rise of the Tomb Raider, TF2, or PSVR that actually runs better on this "Pro" console? DF needs to go through the library and see what games are taking a performance hit.
On a hot day in sydney, the graphic look great at the pub patio on my ps vita.
@BertoFlyingFox Everything that ea makes using frostbyte engine is better with ps4 pro, fifa 2017 is 4k and 60 fps, amazing for $400 console
The bad one is the exception that will be patched anyway, not the rule.
@BertoFlyingFox I'm looking to see if they'll eventually list out all the games that are under performing on the Pro as well.

Anyway, I read something like this: If you already have a PS4 and don't own a 4K TV then don't buy a PRO yet.
It's not worth the investment right now and that's what I gonna do
