Got the urge to slaughter hordes of colourful monsters, have you? Well, you're in luck, because Square Enix has released a playable PlayStation 4 demo of Dragon Quest Heroes II over on the Japanese PlayStation Store. The demo weighs in at around 4GB, and spotlights the beginning of the game. Needless to say, it may well be worth a download if you're interested in Omega Force's hack and slash sequel.
Dragon Quest Heroes II hasn't been confirmed for release here in the West just yet, but we reckon that it's only a matter of time before it's announced. You can click through here to download the demo from the Japanese web store, but again, you'll need a Japanese PSN account.
Will you be giving this a try? Boot a few slimes in the comments section below.

Looking forward to this game, might make a Japan account and try it out. I enjoyed the first one.
Really looking forward to some news on DQ11 though! That looks amazing.
@flummerfelt Hopefully at TGS!
"only a matter of time"
With Sony you should change that too "only a matter of presser" with all of them they have lined up.
When I get a PS4 can I simply put in my name and password of my current accounts or do I need to put in everything? I have accounts set up for the US, UK, Tokyo and Hong Kong but I seriously doubt I could remember those addresses, I think maybe they were Marriott hotels next to airports.
@rjejr If you have existing accounts, you should just need the corresponding email addresses and passwords. Once you're signed in, you'll be good to go.
Meh, hack n slash doesn't "cut" it for me (heheh). I 'd prefer something along the lines of Dragon Quest 8.
i only played a few dragon quest games in handhelds since when were they not RPGs
I click the link and all i see is Unable to find this page
So it's not available anymore
@ShogunRok Thanks. That will make Christmas morning a whole lot easier.
@BambooBushido Hmmm, the link still works as far as I can tell. Are you being redirected to the US or EU store or anything like that?
I made a JPN PSN account just to download this. Booting up the Japanese PSN store is like visiting Japan all over again for me (went during last holiday). Anyone familiar with import-friendly titles I can snag while I'm here?
@ShogunRok Yes I am being redirected to the US store
@ShogunRok But never mind it's working for me now but apparently PSN is down for maintenance
