Toukiden 2, the sequel to the rather good Toukiden: Kiwami, has been confirmed for a Western release by publisher Koei Tecmo. The title's been available in Japan since July.
Due to launch in Europe and North America in 2017, the demon-slaying series goes open world with its latest instalment, featuring large environments that are yours to explore as you hunt down the oni menace. You can expect plenty of limb-slicing action, oversized weapons, and, if it's anything like Kiwami, a surprisingly enjoyable story. There's no mention of platforms in the press release, but we assume that Toukiden 2 will be coming to both PlayStation 4 and PS Vita.
Will you be hunting demons next year? Lop off a few arms in the comments section below.

@playstation1995 Yep, I think I'd put Kiwami in my top 5, too.
Was hoping for it to be released sometime this year. Hope it's not February 2017 cause that's when Persona 5 comes out. Speaking of Persona 5, it'll be released in Japan next week.
Never played before but I'll surely get this one. Does it have a carving system like MH or do weapons and armours depend on the story?
@andreoni79 It's like MH. Defeated enemies drop components and you use those items to craft specific gear sets.
Let's hope the Vita version won't be digital only. Otherwise, I'll be importing.
The PS4 version is sure to be both physical and digital though.
Can't wait
I've got high hopes for this.
@meppi
Exactly. I'm out of space on Vita. Imported the PAL version of God Eater 2 Rage Burst and like 4 other games, and the JP version of DQ Builders is locked in.
