Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue – and breathe – was originally scheduled to release in December this year, but weeaboos will need to wait a little while longer for the Disney X Square Enix mash-up. The PlayStation 4 exclusive game – which compiles (sigh) Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover, and Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep–A Fragmentary Passage on one Blu-ray – will now deploy on 12th January in Japan and 24th January elsewhere.

It's only a small delay, then, but we assume that those of you hoping to play this over the Christmas break will be gutted by the change. Nevertheless, there's a snazzy new trailer embedded above, which is just about as teeth clenchingly twee as we've come to expect from this series.
