It got practically no build-up, but Sony's TGS 2016 press conference was decent – even if it lacked new announcements. The platform holder centred on upcoming Japanese releases like Final Fantasy XV, New Hot Shots Golf, and more but also found time to mention PlayStation VR and other hardware initiatives.
But what did you think of the press conference? Did you like what you saw? Is the Japanese console industry on life support right now, or do you feel like it's starting to resurge? Let us know in the comments section below.

Don't think it was really time for the big announcements - we've got two three hardware launches all happening before the end of this year and some very big titles - what would be the point? So from that perspective it was fine - just predictable. Plenty of great stuff to look forward to.
I was really disappointed not to see Bloodborne 2, but that's also my fault for getting my hopes up for it. I'm really hoping we'll see it at TGS though. Fingers crossed.
@thatguyEZ It's a game with major Western interest, so if it does happen (which it will) it'll probably be at E3 next year. Too early after Dark Souls III I suppose.
Did not watch it just saw your commentary nothing really of interest. It was nice to see the Vita getting some new models glad its still getting some love from Japan.
Danganronpa 3, Persona 5 and Nioh? In my very personal opinion, it was A M A Z I N G
WTF I didn't even know it was this week. To much PS Shows (which is ok I guess) Might watch it later.
@Kidfried Oh no, did I typo!
Really sorry.
Kingdom Hearts delay hurts but I was totally expecting it
@get2sammyb For sure, I really can't wait to see where it goes whenever they announce it. More monstrosities please.
@Lolzified I didn't see the Danganronpa thing, but that is really great. I already know I'll be loving P5 so I really couldn't care less about more news on that. It's honestly pretty annoying at this point. And I loved seeing Nioh's release date, though I wish it was coming out sooner.
It was okay, just a shame that there were only a few surprises. That montage, though.
Missed the event. No mentioned of Toukiden 2's Western release date? What about 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, Ni no Kuni 2 and Dragon Quest XI?
Sorry but Sony just seem to be loosing momentum. Boring and predictable. No BIG announcements.
@get2sammyb thanks again for the great coverage Sammy. It was so much more professional and engaging than the one over at Eurogamer
No Ni no Kuni 2 = sh*t conference. Simple
I was startled, confused, scared, confused, wowed, confused, lost, and then confused all over again... loved it!
Love the rap song! I am a fan of RIP SLYME and the part where they used the word that sounded very much like TORIIIIIICO! for The Last Guardian was awesome.lol Watching the ad made remember how much I used to like listening to both TORIIIIIICO! and Kaerōka when I was young.
