Would you believe it - we've actually got something worth writing about when it comes to the latest Japanese sales charts. Toukiden 2 entered the software charts in fourth and fifth place on Vita and PlayStation 4 respectively, but neither version sold especially well, racking up around 100,000 units between them. It's also worth pointing out that the PlayStation 3 edition of the demon slaying sequel ended up in eleventh place with just 6,222 copies sold.
And, even with a new Idolmaster game leaping into third, the PS4 couldn't muster enough sales to retake the top spot of the hardware charts. At this point, we're just waiting to see what sort of impact the likes of upcoming blockbusters Persona 5 and Final Fantasy XV have on the weekly listings.

Toukiden is dead.
Xbox One – 68 (55)
Microsoft be like.
What did the critics say about Toukiden 2, any idea?
Meanwhile, Pokemon ORAS saw another bump thanks to GO and Sun/Moon hype. Will be interesting to see Sun/Moon's week 1 sales (obviously, it will sell super well, but what effect will GO have on it's sales?)
@Grawlog
3DS sales are declining as the system is in its waning years. The only sequel I've seen to outdo it's predecessors recently or at least put up similar numbers have been Monster Hunter Generations and Fire Emblem Fates.
Everything else has had much smaller sales impact.
With that said, it's still not bad. Just not the insane 500k-1m week 1 sales we're used to seeing.
I downloaded another Toukiden 2 (demo I think) yesterday from the Japan PSN Store yesterday but haven't tried it, yet. Hopefuly, they fixed the framerate issues during the village portion.
PS4 selling 20k in the middle of summer with only minor releases. Looking forward to the autumn.
@get2sammyb That's a little bit harsh. Although i thought freedom wars was a lot better. Even soul sacrafice was more enjoyable
