We're not sure what to think of this. We've gone on record saying that Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare looks like a return to form for Infinity Ward, but this 'Long Live the Captain' cinematic couldn't possibly be any more cheesy. We suppose that's what the developer's going for, but yeesh – it's all a bit cringe, isn't it?
Even worse, something looks off about the hyper-realistic graphics. We can't put our fingers on it, but faces look squashed and eyes appear dead. Then again, we doubt anyone will be playing this game for its story – it's going to be all about jetting off into outer-space and blasting bad guys in the head. And from that perspective, it looks ace.

"Not this captain, not today"
Come on guys, what's not to love!
I still think it looks pretty cool to be honest
I thought It looked OK - its you (or at least the character you play) becoming a Captain, a person in command instead of the usual 'grunt'. Its one of the aspects that makes this Campaign interesting to me - no longer just worried about your 'bro's' and being told what mission is 'next' but in command of many, where your decisions and choices could result in their lives etc and freedom to make choices over which mission you do etc.
Isn't the black dude the Martian Manhunter from Supergirl (among other acting roles) - David Harewood. I am sure I recognise his face! If it is him, then the visuals can't be that bad!!
EDIT: Having now just checked David Harewoods Wiki page, he is in Infinite Warfare as Sgt Omar... Just goes to show how good the graphics are!
Commander Shepard lives on.
@ShogunRok - Hold the line.
I'll be playing it first for the story. I've a feeling it'll be good enough when it comes to single player.
Wow, it has been a long time (since MW1, in fact!) since I've been tempted to play a Call of Duty game, but this one looks decent. It won't be a day one buy, of course, but if it reviews well then I'll probably nab it when it drops in price a bit.
@BAMozzy - I recognised it was David Harewood straight away but wasn't this just a cinematic scene rather than actual gameplay? Cutscenes and gameplay graphics usually always differ but if the gameplay graphics are the same as we've just watched above then I'd be impressed.
@MaccaMUFC Its taken from the game and whilst Cutscenes can often look a bit better, I would not be surprised if that is the quality of visuals whilst aboard your Ship with little 'action' taken place. Its not like you have time to look at the character models when enemies are shooting at you etc - Maybe that's the 'Neo' version
Yeah if I could buy MW1 seperately that'd be great.
@sonicmeerkat To me that's no different from being able to buy something like an artbook or some other 'special' edition bonus. Granted its more 'useful' and likely to get more time spent on it but it's still just a 'special edition' bonus.
You don't get people wanting to buy Horizon: Zero Dawns Artbook and digital extras separately from its special editions - similarly priced!
Maybe they will release it as a separate download in the future - although I expect people will complain that it only has 10maps and that their specofic favourite isn't included - I doubt several of mine will be - Creek was a great map and would look awesome remastered...
@BAMozzy The English dude sounds awsome i need to get rid of BO3 and just get this cheap. Some games i want to keep Special Edition and all some games i just want to play COD.
I like this setting but i dont need the MW remake while it looks great it is just why bother playing the same old games which i never found special storywise anyway.
