Despite whispers that XCOM 2 was going to avoid consoles and stick to its PC audience like the acidic blood of an ugly extraterrestrial, publisher 2K has revealed that the sci-fi sequel is indeed coming to PlayStation 4 – and you won't even have to wait that long.
The strategy title is due to make contact with Sony's platform on the 6th September in North America and 9th September in Europe, and it's beamed down its own ominous announcement trailer for you to peruse in the meantime.

Fantastic news, enjoyed Enemy Unknown and loved Enemy Within. I heard this is even better. Glad to see the PC exclusive thing wasn't true in the end.
Man, with all of these announcements on Monday and now today, you could be fooled into thinking it's E3 right now.
This is my favorite Strategy/Tactics RPG of all time. I am glad it's coming to console so more people can experience it! I highly recommend it to anyone who likes Turn based strategy and tactics games as IMO it is the best. Although one of my favorite aspects of this game was the mods. I hope they make this game somewhat more accessible in light of the fact that there most likely won't be any mods on console. I may pick this up again for trophies and such!
Can not tell you how happy this news has made me. This was one of my favourite games when it came out in the 90's then again in the 00's now we get the latest version thank you 2K games so much this really has made my day.

I was waiting for this announcement. This game had low performance on my average mac / pc and probably will be better on PS4. I am not expecting 60 fps but then again, I believe it will be better.

Argh. As a (relatively) new parent, my time for playing games has reduced down to a few hours a week once work, household chores, and, you know, parenting is all done. When will I fit in time to play this and Uncharted?! (still working through Nathan Drake collection!).
Seriously though, I frickin' love these games, and could be a very good Remote Play candidate on the Vita.
