Sony's dropped the price of four major PlayStation 4 first-party releases on the PlayStation Store to $19.99, perhaps indicating that the MSRP of the must own games has changed. The discounts β to Bloodborne, DriveClub, The Last of Us Remastered, and Until Dawn β don't appear to be fuelled by some kind of promotion, so unless it's a mistake, this appears to be their new price point.
All previous PlayStation platforms have had "budget" Greatest Hits lines, so could the platform holder be about to introduce something similar for the PS4? It would give its titles a much longer lifespan, and would also open up the system's library to newcomers to the brand. This is all speculation on our part, of course β if nothing else, make sure that you pick up these titles while they're cheap.

All four of these games are on my buy list, having just bought a PS4 in the last month. Bloodborne and Until Dawn were actually on my "reasons I need a PS4" list, too. Such. Hype!
It makes sense - they are all available on disc cheaper and I guess sales of the digital format have dried up. Dropping the price could drive a few more sales... Wonder if any are being lined up for IGC and this is a final push to get money before that happens?
Lets hope this good news spreads to the other regions too! (I have been holding off buying TLOU until it came down to a reasonable price).
Not related to this story but is the website running a story on the closure of the playstation gear/clothing website? I went to buy something and found its closed. Not sure how long or when the situation will be resolved.
Nice but I would rather get the physical versions if I can find them at that price. Still curious about trying DriveClub and Bloodborne if I end up liking Dark Souls 3.
For those in the US with a Best Buy nearby the physical copies are the same price before the GCU discount!!
I'm in for Bloodborne and Until Dawn
4 superb games that all should be in everyone's library!
Good news for me as I'll be getting a PS4 in about a week and a half.
Dude, this is awesome! All four games are ones I needed to grab someday! The only issue is my net is capped at 50 gigs a month shared between 3 people...
MGS5 (PP, not GZ) is $19.99 new on disc at Target. Reminds me of the good ol days
Damn! I JUST BOUGHT Bloodborne used for $30!
