Toilet break time? As expected, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will almost certainly feature during Sony's E3 2016 press conference next week. Writing on its official Twitter page, the franchise's community team wrote: "Can't wait for gameplay footage? Get ready for an in-depth look at the Infinite Warfare campaign at E3 on 13th June."
The Japanese giant's media briefing is, of course, scheduled to take place on 13th June local time, so it's almost certain that's where the sequel will be popping up. Sony, of course, signed a long-term partnership with Activision last year which gives it both marketing rights and first dibs on DLC, so this is something that we're all just going to have to get used to.

Damm 😒
I am looking forward to this. I want to see what the 2 ex-ND bring to the campaign and story. The concept sounds interesting too - being able to get in my aircraft, blast into space, dogfighting, pick up side-missions, have control over my decision making (like being told of a mission and deciding whether to undertake it or opt to go elsewhere) - all with no loading screens too. Knowing that it has BO3/Titanfall type movement and NOT Advanced Warfares also is a bonus.
I would have pre-ordered without CoD4:R but that is just the cherry on top as far as I am concerned!! Its the FPS I am looking forward to the most (so far) with Titanfall 2 second and BF1 behind...
Ah well, nevermind. I'll just make a cup of tea at that point. And if that section's still continuing, I'll just play the Benny Hill theme over the top.
A lot of us in the core gaming space just switch off when CoD gets mentioned but as a PlayStation fan I appreciate the business decision Sony took because Black Ops 3 probably shifted a hell of a lot of PS4s.
@adf86 I believe 1 in 4 (roughly) own Black Ops 3 on PS4. Last time I checked (about a month ago), it had sold over 10m copies on PS4 and was/is in the top 5 of all time sellers and still remains in the top 10.
Whether Infinite Warfare can match it - even with CoD4:R - it still remains popular. No doubt a lot of the 20m+ fans (every game since MW2 has sold over 20m) will be tuning in to find out what IW has in store for the 2016 game.
As I said, I am also very interested to see what the ex-Naughty Dog developers bring to the campaign and as its releasing in November, whether or not it will utilise 'Neo' and what that could mean too...
Is it just me, or did Advanced Warfare look way more impressive visually than either BO3 or this (so far)? I wonder what's up with that.
Getting bored of sci-fi FPS games at this point and here we have a call of duty sci-fi game, yawn. And that is why Battlefield 1 excites me.
I don't mind it being shown too much, it should just be shown for far less time than it was last year. A lot of COD players probably don't even watch E3 and it's annoying to neglect other titles for a game that comes out every year.
Wow. Activision have taken the worst bit of any call of duty game in history and turned it into a full game. Space soldiers online? Nice..........
Couldn't give a damn about playing COD myself but it's at least entertaining to see where they will go with it. I'll be watching with some interest!
If they change the stupid mw only being available in certain editions, or at least make mw able to buy separate at launch activision will have my attention. Until iw and any further money going into cod from my wallet does not happen. Heck does anyone know if the mw remaster will be a full separate game with its own folder or if it will be only accessible via the iw main menu to deter secondary sales and trade ins? My money is on the latter, when it comes to COD activision has turned over new piles of leaves in ways to milk it for every cent.
I just wish the outcry over the mw remaster and the ways of purchasing it was louder and carried significant weight, but sadly I would wager the majority of cod players are exactly that, and when you buy one maybe 3 titles a year business practices doesn't concern you much. On my end I've convinced 3 people to not buy the blops 3 dlc they hadn't already purchased because of the mw/iw tie in, as have I, and we will not be buying iw unless the options for buying mw change. Our wallets mean nothing to them, so it's pointless, but maybe we can get enough people on board to get activivision to take notice.
Then again all they would do is price mw at $39.99 despite missing countless maps (yay dlc for the dlc we bought 10 years ago) and with iw at $59.99 or the special edition containing mw is $79.99 and say see we were just trying to save you money! Really though, I'm interested to know if mw is an in iw menu option or really fully separate. The former would just be a brazen flaming middle finger to gamers.
"Can't wait for gameplay footage?"
Lol, I think we can all pretty accurately guess what that's going to look like, so not really, no!
