Shadow Complex Remastered, a port of that one Xbox 360 game that everyone seemed to think was dash decent, will finally deploy on the PlayStation 4 in May. This one's already out on the Xbox One, but developer Chair Entertainment probably thought that the release's rip-off Nathan Drake protagonist would be best complemented by Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. How thoughtful.
For those not familiar with this former favourite, it's a 2.5D Metroidvania-type game. Sure, we know that seems unoriginal in 2016, but it was a trailblazer back when it originally launched in 2009. Eye-opener: 2009 was seven years ago. Y'know when old people say life goes fast and that? They're not friggin' kiddin'.

I don't see him as a ripoff of Nathan Drake, but rather another gruff white male protagonist that the industry pumped out throughout the last generation, and by that regard, Drake was another one of many.
Yeah, to say he's a Drake ripoff you might as well call Joel or anyother white male protagonist since Uncharted 1 a 'Drake ripoff.' The game is also much more than just decent.
@GraveLordXD except in video games apparently, lol
I wanted to play this on 360, but somehow never got the chance. Second chances are sweet.
@Royalblues @Gamer83 Pretty sure Sammy's joking here. Apparently the main character is voiced by Nolan North, so of course it's a Drake ripoff.
@Royalblues @Gamer83 @DerMeister When the game was released 7 years agao there were a number of news stories about how Sony was upset because they felt that the lead using the voice and likeness of Nolan North in an adventure game with shooting and platforming elements was to close to Nathan Drake. Its probably a reference to that.
Will it come with the "Only on Xbox" sticker still?😂
Ah yes, the 2007-2009 era. Where every character was played by Nolan North and every character sounded like Nolan North.
Glad he's allowed to show off his acting range now.
If the character is basically a rip off jumping on the Drake band wagon then will give this a miss.
@dryrain that's a really dumb reason to miss out on supposedly really good game. Anyways I feel like this game will have a hard time with PS fans. It was hyped to hell and back, but that was before the indie revolution took over. Now standards are much higher and the game might've been cutting edge in 2008 but that's almost 10 years ago (Christ).
Excellent game. I hope this release means Chair are working on a proper sequel...
@dryrain Its more of a metroid-esque game with a touch of Shinobi thrown in. The similarities between this and Uncharted are the white-male lead and voiced by Nolan.
@Draythedestroyer You don't say... I did not know that. I remember back then being jealous of the 360 crowd because I couldn't play this game. I'm glad it's coming to this gen of consoles. Anyway, thanks for the knowledge. It makes sense.
