Faith to the face

The weakest element of the original Mirror's Edge was its combat – particularly when it forced you to stop running and pick up a gun. Fortunately, it looks like that aspect of sequel Mirror's Edge Catalyst has been given ample attention, as we see protagonist Faith sprinting through the title's clinical districts in a new gameplay trailer, dismantling antagonists without breaking sprint.

From the few minutes of pre-release code that we've played, the fights are some of the most fun that you can have in this forthcoming free-running foray; it's very momentum-heavy, and once you get into your stride, it's really fun swatting foes aside with both your fists and feet without ever stopping to catch breath. We can't wait for this one.
