In a short but rather pleasant announcement, developer ZeniMax Online Studios has revealed that downloadable content owners will be getting freebies in The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited. This'll apply to both those who purchased the Orsinium expansion, and those who end up nabbing the upcoming Thieves Guild add-on.
The freebies will come in the form of two pets - one tied to each DLC. Orsinium owners will receive a furry little echalette, while eventual Thieves Guild members will be able to snag a wily jackal. All that you'll need to do is complete a newly added achievement to unlock your beast of choice, which will then be added to your cosmetic collection.

Terrible news... Pets do my heading on ESO, now they're giving them away for free my screen is going to be full of pointless animals. Still I guess its nice for those that like them.
I do like the pets even though they are really just for vanity reasons. Nice to get a freebee The Jackal looks decent but not sure it will replace my black panther. Not long to go until the Thieves Guild is out, happy days.
Any word on what the achievement will be to unlock these?
I don't own any, so this is a freebie for me. Didn't wanna spend crowns on a pet lol.
@Kupobo It looks like for the Orsinium one at least, you just have to visit the Wrothgar Mountains and you'll automatically pick up your new pet.
@ShogunRok Thanks! The Thieves Guild DLC will hopefully be similar. Can't have too many pets.
