Last week was pretty quiet for new releases in the Land of the Rising Sun, with the likes of Dragon Quest Builders and Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 still hanging around in the software top ten. There was one new PlayStation entry worthy of note, however: Valkyria Chronicles Remastered. The remastered edition of the PS3 classic debuted in third place, selling through 24,156 copies. Not a huge amount, but we doubt that publisher SEGA will have expected much more.
Meanwhile, on the hardware side of things, Sony's home console stuck to the summit despite the lack of fresh games. The new-gen machine racked up sales of 27,576 units - a slight decline from the week prior, but again, without any big releases, that comes as no real surprise.

You missed the ps4 off the chart. Unless it all went way wrong
@gingerfrog
Actually PS4 is first place, as seen on Nintendo Life
PlayStation 4 – 27,576 (31,158)
Dragon Quest Builders is going to hang around for a while, I reckon.
@gingerfrog Fixed, thanks for pointing that out.
I think its awesome that Valkyria Chronicles Remastered is only $29.99. On top of that it has all the previously released DLCs included.
@WanderingBullet I canne wait to get it
@stocko Three more months to go, dude!
Not much going on as usual...I'm not the only one who thinks that image looks horrendously Photoshopped?
Can't wait for Valkirya to come in the west. I never played the original but gameplay wise looks great!
Meanwhile WiiU is dead.... Sigh...
I'm willing to give Valkyria another shot since I didn't get into that much on PS3. I liked what I played back then but I was distracted by another game at the time.
Attack on Titan launches in Japan in a day or so. I hope it's good, the trailers I've seen are promising.
@arnoldlayne83 Actually, Japan is dealing with a serious shortage of Wii U's in retail. As was evident from the sudden drop in sales two weeks ago. It should be over once the stores are restocked again.
@Octane Last year this week, Wii U sold only 7000 consoles. It's not unheard of for Wii U to have weeks this bad. Wind Waker HD's launch week was one such low point for Wii U.
