Fair play to Sony: we quite like the Champions League app on the PlayStation 4. For those of you that haven't been using it since launch, it basically includes a simple fantasy football game and score predictor mode, as well as classic match highlights and more. But the latest update includes some nifty features, including live score updates.
Basically, you can follow your favourite team or all matches, and you'll get notifications when a goal goes in – irrespective of what you're doing on the PS4. So, you could be playing Rocket League, getting live updates on every game in the Champions League. Nifty, eh? Not only that, but you'll now be able to enjoy system-wide radio commentary via TuneIn Radio. And it's all free, obvs.
For as nice as all of these features are, however, we're a bit peeved that they've arrived following United's exit from the tournament. And given recent form, we doubt that we'll be using them next season either. Perhaps the platform holder should get on the Europa League bandwagon and satisfy our Liverpool supporters, too?

Ooo I like that feature where you get updated whilst you play...would be great to see something like it for the premiership too as being a United fan, Champions League isn't as relevant this season!
@mrobinson91 I'd rather not know when relegation fodder score against us!
Its only because Playstation sponsor the Champions League and therefore can keep you updated. They don't sponsor Europa or the League and so I expect they can't keep you updated on specific Teams.
I usually just have my Laptop on when gaming and have the latest scores on that. I do find it annoying when things pop-up on screen - especially if it happens frequently.
I think this is pretty neat. Listening to the radio while grinding on an RPG or something like that could be nice.
Also know the current hardship of being a United fan. Unfortunately as long as Louise Van dope is in charge we can forget about this feature. Hopefully Spurs and Leicester fans get some enjoyment out of it.
Pretty arduous to watch at times but at least they're saving me some money on cup tickets these days
LvG surely has to retire in the summer and then it will be interesting; do they go for a short-term fix in Mourinho and his baggage, or decide to trust in Giggs?
While it is undoubtly a nice feature, I can't play videogames while my beloved team plays, expecially in Champions League. That said.... FORZA JUVE!!!!
It would be very nice if Liverpool could get into the Champions League then... Very unlikely I know but we still have a slim chance with the Europa League!
