There are two great questions in this world: what is the meaning of life and how the fludge do you access the Uncharted 4: A Thief's End multiplayer beta? While we can't answer the first query, we can sorta solve the latter. Don't say that we don't ever do anything for you.
So, the server stress test for Naughty Dog's forthcoming third-person shooter is set to begin on 4th December, and as previously stated you'll need a copy of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection to access it. However, you won't need an additional code or voucher – just an active save in the remaster.
Even after contacting Sony the details are still a bit shaky, but it sounds like the title will be patched and the beta will be added to the main menu screen. At this stage, then, all that you can really do to make sure that you're prepared is install the game and check that you've made a save in the compilation. [Update, 3rd December: the beta can be found in Overview section of The Nathan Drake Collection's Live Area. More details through here.]
We'll update you with more information as and when it becomes available.
Update (14:30PM GMT): PlayStation Europe's just tweeted that the beta will actually begin tomorrow, 3rd December at 17:00PM GMT in Europe. It's unclear if this early release date will apply in North America as well.

Are people genuinely excited for this? I'm not being a troll, I've never played Uncharted before but just finished the first one via the collection - whilst it was ok I wasn't blown away but then its an older game of a different era - I'm hoping I enjoy 2 and 3 more and will get them finished before 4 comes along.
I know they left multiplayer out of the collection but was it something that was any good on PS3?
@Cron_13 Uncharted 2&3 blown 1 out of the water. You'll be amazed at how much 2 improved the series.
@Jaz007 yeah sorry to clarify I mean are people excited for the multiplayer aspect of 4 I've heard good things about 2 especially from a story/campaign pov and 4 looks great from the previews.
I did enjoy the first one, but it wasn't anything special imo.
@Cron_13 You'll be amazed by 2, it's my favourite of the series. So many improvements.
And I am so excited for the multiplayer, it's so simple and it's so fun, reminds me of the Uncharted 2 multiplayer days, all the camaradarie and teamwork and all the fun me and my mates used to have.
For the record, I have played the pre-alpha stage and they improved it a lot since then and that was already awesome.
I always felt the multiplayer was solid but nothing special. That said I'm not really a big multiplayer gamer.
I do plan on checking the beta out just to get a feel for what UC4 will be like.
Naughty Dog really nailed the multiplayer in The Last of Us so I'm excited to see what they do here.
So I have got to reinstall the game, just so I can play the beta....but there is no memory left on my PS4.
@Cron_13 Uncharted 2 is one of the best action games ever and unrecognisable from the first and it's multiplayer was excellent too. I would guess most people especially myself are actually more excited for the single player of 4 as that looks truly stunning. From what I've seen so far the multiplayer could be up there with the best there is and even better it is effectively a free extra on top of the main game (take note EA as fun as Star Wars is, no excuse)
I thought a code for the beta was included in my bundle? I need to check, since I haven't downloaded the Collection as I played those games to death (specially the 3 multiplayer they removed) and was planning on selling it.
Here is hoping the impossible: that it has splitscreen too.
Personally I didn't play much of Uncharted's MP. What I did play though was OK but nothing special. I thought other games offered a much better MP experience and as a result, I ended up playing those instead. Some of Uncharted's modes were quite interesting and tried something a bit different from the usual TDM, CTF, KotH type modes but overall it wasn't (for me at least) the best or the reason I bought the games.
I can't say I am specifically looking forward to Uncharted 4's MP either. I would buy the game even if it didn't come with it. That being said though, I will give it a go. No doubt it will be fun with friends.
I haven't watched any videos since the reveal but several things about that stood out. Most notably was the characters themselves. Instead of just being 'skins' the characters appeared to have 'personality' the same personality as in the game itself. I am not sure about the mystical totem things but at least its something 'new' and unique.
Like I said I am really looking forward to the SP and its probably my most anticipated release of 2016 and couldn't care less if it didn't have a MP mode. I will give it a go but I am not anticipating it to be a must play option. If it turns out that way, then fantastic, if not then I won't be disappointed either.
Unless I'm mistaken, doesn't the voucher say when the Beta launches to just load the disc > go to Overview and download the Beta?
I'll try the beta, but I don't buy Uncharted for MP... it's all about the SP and story. I only bother with MP for the trophies needed for Platinum, so I hope U4 doesn't contain more than a few.
