Who's ready for Geralt of Rivia's final adventure, then? It's been a long and admittedly bloody road, but the silver haired warrior's journey is drawing to a close next year with the release of Blood and Wine, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's second expansion - and it's already looking good.
Judging from these brand new environmental screenshots of the DLC, Blood and Wine's going to be another intriguing tale. In comparison to the title's first expansion, Hearts of Stone, this upcoming project is supposedly a more robust offering, giving players the chance to explore Toussaint - a wealthy location within Nilfgaard - hence its heftier price tag. Of course, if you snagged the game's season pass, then you'll be able to download it at no extra cost.

I would be counting down the days if I knew when it was coming out...
I need it nooooooowww!
Last dlc was so good.
Looks nice from the screen shots then again the game looks good in general so would expect nothing less
Witcher 3, the best game of the decade so far? I think you could make a case for it.
These new screens are stunning!
@sub12 perhaps this gen rather than decade but it would certainly be up there either way.
Can't wait for this, still haven't played the first dlc as I only just finished the game before Fallout so will play them back to back. I'm hoping for more Yennefer in this too, loved the scenes she was in (no not those)
Still need to do Blood and Wine... I don't have time for all these games.. 😩
I thought it was an DQ Heroes article just by looking at the screenshot.
More of this choppy game with a mediocre story and boring traditional fantasy nonsense... I'm more interested in Cyberpunk 2077.
That looks stunning. Not sure if I'll bite, as I don't generally bother with DLC for campaign-based games, but man it is pretty.
I really need to play more of Witcher 3. It was my number 1 reason for purchasing a PS4. But man all these other games just suck me in! Between Xenoblade Chronicles X and the soon-to-be-released Fire Emblem Fates, both of which are probably good for 200 hrs each, I very well may not get around to ANYTHING until after next E3.
looks good, i may grab it.
Hi All, just a quick question, I have started playing witcher without the expansion if I buy the expansion does it just bolt onto the game and adds extra quests and locations? or will I have to follow a different story? Thanks
sorry I was referring to the blood and wine expansion.
@chris730920 It'll very likely just bolt onto the existing game. Hearts of Stone, for example, only begins when you visit a certain message board and the first quest is added to your journal. I would assume the same sort of thing will happen with Blood and Wine, and then you'll just be able to tackle it whenever you want.
Shogunrok thanks for the info
