Japanese developer Omega Force seems to have far too many fingers in far too many pies these days, and that's mostly thanks to its Warriors - or musou - games. Most of you will probably have heard of the Dynasty Warriors series or the Samurai Warriors series, but the template from these titles - which sees you battling hundreds of enemies on screen at once - has been adopted by many varying properties over the years.
There's Dynasty Warriors: Gundam, One Piece: Pirate Warriors, and Dragon Quest Heroes, just to name a few. It's safe to say that these over-the-top action games are Omega Force's speciality, and in an interview with Dengeki PlayStation, Koei Tecmo producer Hisashi Koinuma has stated that he'd most like to create a Star Wars Warriors title. Can you imagine?
When asked what property he'd enjoy adapting, the sci-fi mega franchise was the only answer that he gave, and we can't help but wonder how it'd turn out - but would it actually ever happen? Well, for starters, we have to remember that Star Wars has always been a hit in Japan, and given the constant popularity of musou games in their homeland, well, we'll just go ahead and leave it for you to decide in the comments section below.

Please let it happen while your at make a transformers one pls ;_;.
Works for Lego, might as well work for DW. And I think it could work as an offshoot like Unleashed more than a movie tie-in game. Hyrule Warriors was loads of fun in part b/c of the music and other Zelda touches. There are enough Jedi at this point to make it doable. Playing as Darth Maul and slicing up hundreds of Ewoks at a time could be fun. And making Jar Jar's race extinct would improve the galaxy. Would sell well I think.
I'd be up for this for sure, but don't EA have a 10 year deal for Star Wars?
Take. My. Money. Get it made!!
Star wars warriors and middle earth warriors! 2 crossovers that just scream to happen especially with the amount of possible warriors in both franchises that are able to deal with massive amount of enemies all by themselves!
@Patinator crossovers can still be made, avalanche used star wars as main theme in Disney infinity 3.0
@Patinator Something like that, but rights to franchises can easily be shared out for certain projects. For example, Dragon Quest is owned by Square Enix, but it let Koei Tecmo and Omega Force use the license for Dragon Quest Heroes, and Square Enix's name is still on the box.
Why not? I don't know if I'd get it, but I can't see a reason to be opposed to it.
I think this would absolutely work! Stormtroopers are basically perfect fodder for mowing down en masse with a lightsaber, and having just spent some time with the excellent Hyrule Warriors, I'm confident that they can do licensed properties justice in addition to Dynasty and Samurai Warriors!
No no no no. Gundam 4 please.
Then star wars after that.
@Unashamed_116 its weird the way star wars is a perfect fit for a lot of things. The stormtroopers getting mowed is perfect, the heroes and villians leading each group. The bases, set pieces, maps, vehicles etc etc. Lucas at the time was a modern day genius who obviously could never reach those heady heights again (other than willow and monkey island obviously)
@themcnoisy gundam first n. My thoughts exactly.
Stormtrooper make perfect pawns for Warrior games.... lol
