Remember WiLD? You lot voted it your Game of the Show way back in 2014 following Sony's Gamescom press conference, but it's been missing in action ever since.
Thankfully, the interesting looking title made a return during Sony's Paris Games Week presser with a full gameplay demo - and it still shows some real promise. That said, it's perhaps not quite the same as you remember it. Gone are the hunters, replaced by a shaman who can control animals in an expansive open world.
We've included the gameplay in this very article, but it's worth mentioning that the project is apparently still in early stages of development. We know, we're disappointed too, but hey, just think, we may actually be playing WiLD by 2020. Exciting, eh?

I agree it has potential but I can't say it excited me. It will be one I will be watching to see how it develops but its certainly far from a game I want at the moment - maybe with a bit more time, development and detail it could become that
Wild > Far Cry Primal
dissapointed.
Give me a bear to ride and watch me go. I'll definitely see where they take this
I was one of those excited people in 2014, this does nothing for me, shamanic magic nonsense. Pass. Idiots ruined the idea.
Wow, hype killed.
I liked the old idea way better.
The gameplay demo was solid, I don't know what people were expecting. They said when it was revealed that you can play as any animal in the game, now they tell you how. Besides there's far more stuff we don't know about it yet.
WiLD has been on my radar since it was first announced back in 2014. I really don't mind that the main protagonist has been changed from hunter to shaman. I like that angle better. Hopefully Wild Sheep can peg down a 2017 release date.
Didn't see the big deal back then, still don't now. That pic does bring to mind a certain other game on the Horizon though.
What's the deal with that eagle in that pic? I hope its not like King Louie in that new Jungle Book movie which was freakishly huge.
This has so much potential. Nice to see a game where you're not killing the animals.
@JoeBlogs I just loved the old characters/hunters and style more it looked more story centered.
