The Last Guardian will be playable at the Tokyo Game Show this week, but not with a DualShock 4 controller. Team ICO's long awaited adventure title will be present in the PlayStation booth, but instead of preparing a PlayStation 4 demo for attendees to try, Gen Design – the company created by director Fumito Ueda – has instead built a giant six meter display for patrons to interact with.
According to a tweet from the firm, this "spectacular" screen will include a projected image of Trico – the catbird thing – which will be powered by the same artificial intelligence as in the game. You can see in the GIF image embedded above that the character flaps its ears and looks around, which is pretty neat. Of course, we'd trade the photo attraction for a playable version of the title, but we suppose that after almost a decade of development, it's still too early.

This is cool.
After all the waiting and teasing, I hope this game turns out well!
Sony, you tease!
This will be a day one buy.
I think it is smart to keep the details of this game close to the vest. At this point, anything besides perfection will be ridiculed by a loud Internet gaming minority that probably never intended to get the game anyway, or even own the right console for it. We know it is real and coming in the relatively near future, that's enough for me.
Really cool idea.
