It's been a particularly good week for the PlayStation 4 at TGS 2015, and that's been beared out by some official show statistics shared by Japanese rag Nikkei. According to the paper there are 103 titles for Sony's new-gen machine on display at this year's show, which is well over double the tally of last year. This makes it the most prolific console at the convention by far, with the PlayStation Vita coming second, with 62 titles on display.
Despite this, though, traditional systems aren't technically on top. Attendees can get their hands on a whopping 135 PC titles, while developers brought a dizzying 252 smartphone releases along for the ride. It's yet another sign that Japan is slowly starting to move away from dedicated gaming devices, as iOS and Android increase their reach. In spite of all this, though, Sony won't be disappointed with this week – after all, it has virtually all of Japan's major publishers fighting its corner.

I love the wording. PS4 is the most prolific platform, aside from smartphones being the most prolific platform.
Shame about just about every other device/medium though.
@Volcanox Hah, fair criticism. I was thinking about it from the perspective that PS4 is the most popular 'classic' console, but it could have been worded better.
@get2sammyb I think the word you want is traditional. Classic implies old fashioned, nothing new. The PS4 isn't that but rather more traditional in how it works and does things. Smartphones are an up and coming platform to shake things up.
More Xbox One titles on display at TGS than Wii U. Please Nintendo get the NX out as soon as freaking possible
What's the PSP game that is on display?
