Koei Tecmo has announced that strategic slash-'em-up Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires will be marching onto the Vita before the end of the year. We quite liked the PlayStation 4 edition of the game, so we've got high hopes for its handheld counterpart, especially since its structured pace should suit portable play reasonably well.
The Vita port will employ touchscreen controls so that you can manage your stratagems without having to scroll through them using the directional pad, and it'll also support cross-save and cross-play with both the PS4 and PS3 versions of the release. Oh, and any downloadable content that you've purchased on your home consoles can be used here, too.
The title's sailing to our shores on the 25th November, but will it be the icing on the cake of a year that's already been great for Warriors fans? Let us know if you're going to be building an empire in the comments section below.

Instead of just churning out so many versions and iterations of these games perhaps they should just concentrate on making one good one.
8 Empires was pretty disappointing, at least on the PS3 at times the enemies loaded way too slow, which caused taking over bases take forever and on 2 player mode, player 2 couldn't learn any new stratagems and was stuck with whatever the character had in the beginning.
Those two things really took away a lot of enjoyement from me and is why I consider 7 Empires to be the far better game.
