If you're still killing your free time on the PlayStation 3 and had high hopes for Call of Duty: Black Ops III this November, you're going to be a wee bit disappointed with what ships - if you're a single player fan anyway.

Activision and Treyarch has announced that the last-gen iteration of the futuristic shooter won't be getting a campaign mode, but will instead ship with Multiplayer more or less in-tact and the all-new Zombies mode. According to the post published on the official Call of Duty website, the reason that the PS3 won't be releasing with a campaign is simply because the console can't handle the vision that the developers have for the game and its four-player co-op campaign. There's also a bit of good news, though it's likely only going to apply to a small minority: buying Black Ops III will net you a bonus download of the original Black Ops.

It's a little disappointing, sure, but it's another sign that developers are slowly leaving the last-generation behind to create bigger and better products on the newer machines. Will this stop you from getting Black Ops III on your PS3, or will you pick it up just for the Zombie and Multiplayer anyway? Unload your thoughts down in the comments section below.
