Yes, the holiday rush has arrived. This week's edition of Out This Week is one part exciting and two parts absolutely insane, as no less than 16 new titles descend upon PlayStation Nation, vying for your attention. There's only one highlight this time: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Having said that, honourable mentions must go out to Mad Max and Nobunaga's Ambition: Sphere of Influence, as well as PlayStation Plus freebies Grow Home and Super Time Force Ultra. Blimey!
Pick of the Week: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
A game that should need no introduction, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is the final piece in Hideo Kojima's decidedly complex narrative puzzle. Starring stealth icon Big Boss, the latest tactical espionage endeavour from Konami takes the series to an all-new open world setting, where black box mission design adopts an entire new meaning. Sneak, shoot, and improvise through a slew of immaculately designed missions, in what is likely to be the last instalment helmed by the series' aforementioned auteur.

No games.
The Drop this week:
All of the games. All of them.
Picking up my Metal Gear at 11 tonight.
Do I feel bad for Mad Max though. Looks cool but it comes out the same day as MGSV... That must hurt.
Who the Hell thought it would be a good idea to release Mad Max at the same time as MGSV? It doesn't stand a chance.
The 'no games' thing is kind of pointless at this point, since nobody has been saying that for a long time. But anyway, all I need is MGS V. Should get a good amount of hours out of it.
Just MGSV for me.
Do the plus games get updated this week? I would have expected next week, but since the games are coming out - I may need to get on the ball and make sure last month is downloaded...
@ztpayne7 First Tuesday of the month every month.
@Gamer83 you will love it guaranteed - its impossible to dislike the game is a masterpiece.
@iDangerMouse_ it was they changed it to match the rest of the world. There was a couple of articles about it.
@iDangerMouse_ www.pushsquare.com/news/2015/07/store_update_7th_july_2015_europe
That was the first time the dates combined for NA and Europe.
@themcnoisy
I actually enjoyed Ground Zeroes for what it was, so I have no doubts about The Phantom Pain, the wait until tomorrow is going to be a long one.
Be interested to see what people make of Mad Max, potential future buy, waiting for reviews. Already had MGSV PP since mid week and ploughed 30+ hours into it now... Not a massive metal gear fan particularly but this game is phenomenal, I literally have nothing bad to say about the game.
Forza 6 demo on xbox one tomorrow with early access coming 10th, can't wait for that too.
Insane
MGSV: Phantom Pain & Plus games.
