Koei Tecmo is pushing Nobunaga's Ambiton: Sphere of Influence hard at Gamescom 2015, so it's no surprise that the publisher has released a brand new trailer for the strategy title. Showcasing just about everything that you can expect from the feudal escapade, it's shaping up to be a promising game for those of you interested in the genre.
You'll be building settlements into cities, forging alliances, adopting new battle tactics, and participating in everything from skirmishes to all out war. The release promises plenty of content, then, but are you raring to lead your clan to victory? Step into Nobunaga's shoes in the comments section below.

I'll be picking this up, I love my strategy games. My computer isn't very up to date, so I can't play all the awesome new strategy games that have been coming out for the system. I've spent around 220 hours on Civ V alone, and other than that I get my fix from Total War Shogun 2 and Wargame: Red Dragon. So, while I would prefer to play it with a keyboard and mouse, a new, fun console strategy game is very much welcome. I don't think consoles have had a good strategy game(to my knowledge) since that Halo one, and that wasn't even very good.
If this was a medieval or like ancient Greece setting etc I would get it. But it does look quite fun. Might wait for a sale or something. Really wish Ps4 got a strategy game like Stronghold 2 or something, I had it on the laptop but it broke.
Looks a little like Civilisation meets Kessen. Doubt I'll pick this up, as the Civ side of gaming never really appealed to me, but I must admit I did love the Kessen games on PS2, so I might still investigate at some point if the price is right!
Yeah I am hyped for this.
Too bad no one can truly appreciate a game like this these days.
Nobunaga's Ambition has traditionally had a steep learning curve, and I dont expect it to do well in the west.
It is one of the most in depth history simulation series and I am very pleased this is being launched to western audiences.

That statements pretty ambiguous but I understand the sentiment on consoles. The truth is strategy games are at home on the pc - your closer to the screen so can read smaller text, you have your mouse to quickly click things and you tend not to stick them on when your friends are around, so it suits the solitary pc experience more.
On PC strategy games have dominated PC gamescharts. Total War, Civilization, Sim City, Settlers, Rollercoaster Tycoon, Command and Conquer etc etc. Its just better to play on PC.

Well, it may not be Stronghold II, but you should check out Grand Ages Medieval! Coming to PS4 in a few months, and it looks pretty great to me. Ambitious, in depth, and in a medieval setting. I'll be picking up both that and Nobunaga's Ambition when they come out!
errr I think I'll pass. I have a huge RTS backlog...
@themcnoisy I mostly agree with you. Playing an RTS with a controller is akin to playing a fighting game with a keyboard, personally. Just a really horrible fit. However, that's because in each case they're usually designed from the ground up for that control device. Something like Rising Thunder doesn't have quarter- or half-circle inputs, each move is just a single button press, rather like a MOBA. As such it's really no different on a keyboard than on a controller or arcade stick. The RotTK games, and Nobunaga's Ambition, are like that in reverse. Most of my experience with those games has been spent moving through menus, akin to the ones you'd get in a JRPG like Final Fantasy.
