Golfing giant Rory McIlroy has clubbed Kratos square in the jaw, as EA Sports Rory McIlroy PGA Tour teed off at the top of the UK sales charts this week. God of War III Remastered did reasonably well on a limited marketing budget, scaling the best sellers list all the way into ninth – but rest assured that the Ghost of Sparta will not be satisfied with that result.
It was another relatively slow summer week for the industry, with F1 2015, Batman: Arkham Knight, and LEGO Jurassic World hogging the top five. LittleBigPlanet 3 re-entered the charts on the back of recent DLC releases, securing 36th position after a spell outside of the Top 40. Speaking of which, new titles such as Godzilla and Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess missed out entirely.

golf and F1 take the top two spots ? that's really bad (as in NOT good)
To be fair if it was GOW 1+2+3 or even 1+2 then I'm sure it would be much higher up the list, it's still a good game regardless but IMO not as good as the 1st and certainly not as good as the 2nd, still I couldn't help purchase it, always had a soft spot for Greek mythology and GOW has done a nice implementation of it.
@BLPs Golf as the #1 video game makes me want to drink. Though I wouldn't expect a remaster of a 5 year old game to be higher either.
Wow minecrafts not in the top 10.
@BLPs the top 10 charts have always been strange, its not indicative of quality and this stretches all the way back to the spectrum with god awful games hugging the top spots. Could you honestly predict golf at top spot and GOW3 at 9th? This is one week were we have seen some major movement. I'm not saying pga golf is great though as its usually boring minus the odd game (08 was great if I remember correctly)
UK gamers are really weird.
