It's a surprisingly big week for new releases here on Planet PlayStation, as the industry is rocked from its post-E3 hangover with a series of noteworthy new titles. God of War III Remastered is arguably the big one, as it represents Kratos' first foray onto the PlayStation 4 β but both Godzilla and EA Sports Rory McIlroy PGA Tour are worthy of note, too. Let's get sweaty, shall we?
Pick of the Week: God of War III Remastered
Sony's most miserable main character has taken his sweet time striding onto the PlayStation 4, but God of War III Remastered should prove a stopgap for fans of Kratos' shouty antics. An updated edition of the skinheaded anti-hero's trilogy concluding PlayStation 3 escapade, this outing sees the narky Spartan taking his revenge on Zeus β and basically every Greek God that gets in his way. There will be blood, etc.
In addition to bumping up the resolution to 1080p for maximum crimson clarity, developer Sony Santa Monica has also upped the framerate to a rock-solid 60 frames-per-second β after all, the PS3 hardware couldn't quite realise the blistering ambition of its team. A photo mode has also been tossed in for good measure, allowing you to pause the action and pan around the environments, documenting all of the destruction that the Ghost of Sparta leaves in his wake.

Dang voted for Godzilla thinking nobody would care but dang I was wrong lol.
@BladeRider Who doesn't care about Godzilla? I'm the 3rd vote so far.
GOLF! About flippin time, although, I'll have no time for it for a while.
I voted god of war, but it doesn't seem like enough added to justify a "remaster" for the game My second choice would be Godzilla, cause Godzilla is awesome
Actually I looked up The Fall and it looks really impressive.
I lovvvvveeee GOD
@tulaib_100 which one?
Haven't had a response from anyone, anywhere on this so far:
Will The Vanishing of Ethan Carter have a physical release in NA?
If it does it's an easy buy for me. If I doesn't, looks like I'll never play it. I refuse to buy digital releases.
I was hoping that it was going to be gow 4. As i missed out on this game for the ps3.
@Hordak I don't think it does, sadly.
Definitely getting God Of War 3, it is also going to feel 10times better now it's 60fps.
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi i love all GOD games, kratos all the way.
If I get anything for Playstation 4 this week, it's going to be The Vanishing of Ethan Carter. Chances are I end up with an Xbox One and Master Chief Collection this week instead... I also still haven't beaten Witcher 3 or Dark Souls 2, so it's not like I NEED to buy any games at all for awhile, but I can't help but buy the only current gen console still missing from my entertainment stand.
Ethan Carter, but not sure wphen I can actually afford to play it.
New Trials Fusion DLC this week too. Cat riding a unicorn anyone?
Godzilla should be listed separtly, the PS3 version is single player and DL only for $40, the PS4 version has multiplayer and it is $60 on disc.
