We've been keeping an eye on Koei Tecmo's new musou crossover for some time now, but we were never too sure whether or not it would end up coming West. But today, the publisher's revealed that Arslan: The Warriors of Legend will be venturing overseas on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 in early 2016.
First, let's get a bit of background info out of the way. The game's based on a Japanese creation known as The Heroic Legend of Arslan, which was first published as a series of novels back in 1986. It's been going for a long time, but now the property's back on the rise thanks to all new manga and anime adaptations.
If the art style seems familiar, that's because the aforementioned manga was penned by Hiromu Arakawa, the artist behind the rather popular Fullmetal Alchemist, and the upcoming action title will adapt her style.
Needless to say, it looks pretty attractive on Sony's newest console, sporting some great cel shaded visuals. What do you reckon? Are you up for this? Smash hundreds of peons away with a single blow in the comments section below.

I think this looks pretty great. I'd recommend the manga to anyone who's interested, too.
Another Warriors game, another day 1 to me!
I really like the cell shaded look, always have, and any game that has a white feather in the trailer is OK by me, but I do think it's funny that there seems to be so many cell shaded games on Sonys powerful PS4. Then again it did launch w/ cartoon Knack.
Better for me, but I can imagine the murmuring among the FPS brown is better crowd.
@rjejr
Never underestimate the power of Knack!
@Punished_Boss_84 I really wanted Knack when it was first revealed - I only really play 2 types of games, 3D platformers and JRPG (and the J is very important). But when I found out it was fixed camera, for a PS4 launch title, that looked like a PS3 game, I was put off. The difficulty just sealed the deal. I'll still probably play it someday on PS+ or for a $1.98 sale, but I'm not looking forward to it.
I've been following the anime - the story's pretty good but the animation quality's average and inconsistent sometimes.
Lol, I've just noticed that one of Narsus's battle skill in the game is painting - 0:47. Which is funny since in the anime he loves to paint even though he's bad at it. XD
@Punished_Boss_84 Did you get a strange email comment linking to nowhere calling you a PS4 fanboy? I did, which is weird, b/c as you're probably aware I don't even own a PS4 and mostly just post about how surprised I am it's sold so well w/o any exclusive games besides Knack. I don't really consider that resume to be fanboy material. I'm not opposed to a PS4, just never thought of myself as a fanboy of the system.
@rjejr
I read it, laugh it off and then delete it...
"post about how surprised I am it's sold so well w/o any exclusive games besides Bloodborne" Fixed that for you, it's the only exclusive worth mentioning (unless you include PS Exclusives). I'm mostly over it.
@Punished_Boss_84 - I laugh off and delete everything, was just wondering if you knew what was going on. Thanks for getting back to me. And Bloodbourne is the real answer, Knack is the funny one.
