Street Fighter V won't even be out until next year, but that hasn't stopped the fighting genre juggernaut from signing up for its first ever tournament at E3 2015. It's not just the one tournament, either - the title will play host to numerous organised brawls from the 16th to the 18th June at the Los Angeles expo, and they'll all be livestreamed via Capcom's official Twitch channel.
It goes without saying that such events should be a great way to see the game in more detail, and the coverage could prove useful if you're looking for a way to kill time between E3's big announcements. Still, considering that Street Fighter V's deep in development, it does seem a little strange that it's so readily available at such an early point in its life. That said, you could also view its availability as a promising sign, especially since the brawler must be in good enough shape to use for the purposes of reasonably competitive play.
We'll be sure to embed the livestream in an article closer to the time, but until then, are you looking forward to seeing the new Street Fighter in action? Which characters are you hoping to see? Show us your competitive spirit in the comments section below.

Well now we know why the USFIV port was rushed.
I guess we will see how it turns out.
@Tasuki Yeah, seems that way.
I'm surprised myself. Having a playable build is great, but a full on tournament? Already?
Tekken 7's also getting tourney coverage at EVO this year, but at least the arcade build is finished. What's this supposed to be?
this is a bit weird. if they are having a live tourney then they must be planning on full disclosure of characters etc. or are they only allowing ryu/chun/charlie/bison? this kind of worries me. its too early for this. its possible the game will only have those characters maybe one more. and the rest will be dlc (some day), like killer instinct. they have said this street fighter will be different and not what people are expecting. that would suck SO much. i really hope im just paranoid. i want a full interesting roster hopefully with a bunch of brand new characters. im starting to have a bad feeling about this. please capcom dont ruin street fighter.
So which capcom twitch account must I follow to watch that tournie?
