It was another rather dismal seven day period for console sales in Japan last week. PlayStation 4 sales jumped ever so slightly, while the PS Vita hopped above its home system sibling into second place, selling through 12,517 units.
As for software, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was pushed from the top spot by a certain Nintendo exclusive, but only fell down as far as third place. CD Project Red's open world adventure tallied 22,454 unit sales for its second week on the Japanese market, which isn't too bad.
Meanwhile, Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster on PS4 dropped all the way down to 16th, with its total sales so far sitting at just 24,498 units, which is, needless to say, disappointingly low. Other than that, though, there's not much to see this time around, but be sure to keep your hopes up in the comments section below.

Splatoon did really well. Everything else is just abysmal, though.
I'm glad to see that Splatoon did well because it's honestly an amazing game that's incredibly addictive. Really sad that it only bumped the Wii U by 10k though.
@get2sammyb - I knew you didn't write this one as soon as I saw the title.
Robert: "PS4 Sales Continue to Drag"
sammy: "PS4 Sales go Splat"
Come on, you know you woulda No offense to Mr Ramsey.

The vast majority of people who want that system, have it already. Nintendo has no more system sellers, and with no third party support, it's not going to convince fence-sitters. It's good to see Splatoon sell and garner some attention--especially after seeing how Nintendo fans totally ignored pretty much every other new exclusive to the system--ZombiU, Wonderful 101, Bayonetta 2, etc. It's in it's final years already.
The Wii U and 3DS are following the pre-Wii/DS sales decline that Nintendo has been experiencing since the NES/Game Boy.
FFX HD remaster less than 25k units... Ouch.
When a release like Splatoon can sell what the witcher 3 cant in double the time released, you have to question the media out in the far east.
