Upcoming PlayStation 4 and Vita title Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has become the most funded video game in Kickstarter history, ushering in over $4.75 million as of this writing. With 12 hours left, it's looking like the project will absolutely smash through its final stretch goal of $5 million. If (when) it hits that target, players are promised an additional roguelike game mode.
Bloodstained is the spiritual successor to the Castlevania series, and is being developed by industry veteran Koji Igarashi. Thanks to additional funding, the developer is saying there will also be a prequel game made exclusively for the 3DS and Vita. If you'd like to contribute - or if you're just a fan of watching really big numbers get even bigger - here's a link for you.

Absolutely awesome news. Will be getting this on Vita!
That's a hell of a lot of money for a side scroller.
That said if sor4 kickstarted I would put £100 down straight away.
Umm, it has already hit 5 mill including the PayPal money.
I backed it and plan on putting my new baby boy's name in the credits (Seems he'll be around 2 when it comes out). Here's hoping they hit their last goal of $5.5 million. Boss rampage is the reward. Boss rushes are a staple of the newer Igavanias, so I really want it to reach that goal. That being said, Igarashi never made a Castlevania at Konami for anything remotely close to $5 million...far, FAR less than that actually. This better be the best one ever.
So the final numbers are 5 million and some odd change. With that kind of money I expect the games to be made out of gold
Pledged for two digital versions. One for my PS4 and another for my Vita.
