If your name's not The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, then you may be asking yourself why you weren't delayed into next week. Seriously, it's hard to see anything breaking through the hype that's currently circling CD Projekt Red's open world escapade like a (white) wolf. To be fair, though, there's something for everyone here, from the enhancing expansion Destiny: House of Wolves to the uber-niche Farming Simulator 15. There's even a new Hyperdimension Neptunia game β but then again, it does feel like there's a fresh one of those every week.
Pick of the Week: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Sorry agriculture aficionados β your green-fingered host did fight Farming Simulator 15's corner, but The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was always going to be Pick of the Week, wasn't it? How could it not be when we've just described it as a "masterpiece" in our review, and the standard bearer by which all future open world role-playing games will be compared?
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt PS4 Review
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt sets a new standard for open world RPGs. Its shockingly cohesive world is as beautiful as it is demanding, and it's packed full of mature content that throws you from one emotional response to the next. Its storytelling is superb, its combat is grippingly refined, and its often unforgiving nature only lends itself to a brilliantly rewarding experience. In an industry that's flooded with so many by-the-book open world titles, Wild Hunt stands out as a true labour of love from a developer that's uncompromisingly passionate about its creative freedom. Geralt's incredible adventure is nothing short of a masterpiece.
CD Projekt Red's latest RPG is a layered, thoroughly engaging experience. You'll play as Geralt of Rivia, a Witcher involved in a personal plot. While there's a very specific thread running through the Polish developer's sandbox release, though, it's the little stories that you'll encounter along the way that will keep you hooked... Well, for the next 100 or so hours at least.

My wallet is so dead that not even a miracle worker can save it and I trully love my wallet. So I'll skip everything the upcoming weeks and try to buy Elder Scroll Online.
@Melucine PS4 has no games. (!!!)
@get2sammyb
I know,right? I dont have that many, because money... But still some times I cant decide what to play, at least today I traded my GTA V ( boooring ) for Borderlans Collection, so it seems untill ESO comes out, my day will be in Pandora and Rayman daily challenges!
Man I want The Witcher 3, it looks incredible. Unfortunately I am poor and have to wait, but then ESO is less than a month away and I am dying for that too. Times like this I curse basic human needs, like food and a home.
Looks like Project Cars will just have to tide me over until I can have ESO (btw, 250cc super karts are incredible!)
Gotta wait for ESO as well, there's a small chance I might get Witcher on release but that's only if I can afford both.
I'll be taking HoW tomorrow and the Witcher at the weekend me thinks. Should both keep me happy for a couple of months Pesky family visiting me at the weekend, urgh...
Even though I have Destiny with the Season Pass (on both Gen 8 consoles), I can see my next month gaming will be spent in the Witcher 3. I have 5 weeks before Batman: Arkham Knight arrives. My 2 most anticipated games this generation...
I've got a rare girlfriend free weekend, just can't decide between the witcher and farm sim!
@Blair512 : FS15 , no question .
@eliotgballade I already have FS15 on pc and don't like the sound of no mods. Lost weeks to Skyrim and can see the witcher being just as good. Depends if I can persuade my mates to buy fs or not!
