Ultra Street Fighter IV has been dealt a confirmed release date on PlayStation 4, and the good news is that it's not very far away. The brawler will smash up Sony's newest console on the 26th May in both Europe and North America.
The next-gen re-release will set you back $24.99, which we assume will equate to around £20 here in the UK. Strangely enough, the source doesn't mention a retail release, instead only writing that the title will be available at that price digitally.
It's sounding like a great point to jump in for beginners, though, as the game will include every single piece of DLC released so far, which makes the budget price all the more attractive.
However, perhaps the most important news here, at least for you hardcore players, is that the PS4 re-release won't succumb to the slight input lag found in the PS3 version of Street Fighter IV, which was enough to see that edition get dropped from fighting game tournaments such as EVO. Hurrah!

I would have got this if i didn't get street fighter x Tekken recently
I never played any of the other million versions so at that price I might get it.
I think for the price, this is a fantastic entry point to what is arguably one of the best fighting games in years.
i didnt think id get this due to being content with the ps3 version. but this whole less lag thing, the price and the fact it has ALL dlc has me reconsidering! would be cool if they added a few little new things though like a handful of new backgrounds or new alts for everyone. yeah either way im on board but i still cant stop thinking about SFV
I usually avoid fighting games, but that is a nice price tag, and I do have a passing interest in this game.
Brilliant price tag. Will very likely buy.
I was debating on getting this one, I played all the versions of SF IV except the most recent on Xbox 360 but I hate playing fighting games on the 360 cause of the controller. I was thinking this was going to be 60 bucks but at that price I will be picking it up for sure.
Will buy for sure,........kinda sad we aren't seeing a Vita version considering Sony is publishing.l
If the file size isn't too big I'll grab it. Funny that Capcom makes their biggest titles Digital-only just because they're re-releases. :/
@get2sammyb
It indeed is, they will probably sell millions of copies if marketed right; the perfect gateway drug for SFV!
And now plllleeeeaaassseeeee announce our PS3 fightsticks will be compatible!!
Great news, at £20 we all should buy it. Sf4 got better with super as it took the restrictions off, refined with arcade, and pumped up with ultra. I jumped in at super on the xbox and for £15 upgraded to each newer version. For someone who hates dlc they could of made one bigger expansion than the 3 packs that followed sf4. But at £20 you are stupid to not buy its the best fighting game ever (imo) and on ps4 with the controller it will be perfect.
Honestly after experiencing controller failure with GTA (not hardcore games) I can see fighting games on PS4 becoming a problem unless they allow 3rd party controllers and joysticks.
I'll get this.....on PS3. Sounds dumb yeah, but I'd rather get it there because my friends have it on PS3 and have been endlessly yapping at me to get it. I don't really see a reason to get it on PS4, honestly.
@Boerewors
Agreed, if MK can do it, SF surely should too. Price is great too, after so many SFIV versions, they already should be giving it away!
@sinalefa
I'm afraid madcatz and Capcom have other plans; if they allow it now, they have to make it compatible for SFIV too, which I don't see Capcom doing. Then again, I expected this game to cost $60 and I hoped for $40...so sometimes we don't get screwed over as much as usual
Can't wait for the Street Fighter 4 Ultra Supreme Ultimate package next year.
Ima get it but jus hope I don't lag as much as I did on the PS3 version
Might get it. Still love the 3DS version but for $25 on big screen, why not...
If it's released on disc then I will get it
I'll wait for SF5 next year!
