If you're a smidgen obsessive compulsive like this particular editor, then you'll hate having any Trophies on your profile that aren't at 100 per cent. Given that the majority of Platinum Trophies require 30 hour days to achieve, however, your humble host has had to get used to the idea of his profile being a mess. But what if you could remove any unfinished Trophy sets?
That's what PlayStation 4 firmware update v2.50 will allow you to do – but within reason. When the system software overhaul deploys – internally titled 'Yukimura', for those curious – you'll have the option to remove titles stuck at 0 per cent. But what about those games where you've only earned one or two Trophies? Well, they'll have to stay.
"0 per cent is really the only way to maintain the sanctity of PlayStation Trophies, which we fiercely guard," SCEA's Scott McCarthy explained on the PlayStation Blog. "Any other number would be arbitrary." We can certainly see what he's saying here – as soon as you start actually deleting trinkets from a PlayStation Network profile, you start moving into strange territory.
So, what's the solution to all of those unfinished Trophy sets that you have sitting on your profile? Well, you could always quit your job, become a professional hunter, and never look back. Whatever you do, though, don't create a video game website – you'll end up playing games even less than you did before. Take it from someone who knows...

Strange territory? BS! It's my own account innit? Let me remove what Id like to remove!
Just let me remove Olioli 2 from my trophy list. Biggest pile of garbage I've ever played in my life. Sadly I have one trophy from it so it's not going to happen.
@rastamadeus What?! It's a fantastic game?
@rastamadeus Just because you suck at the game doesn't mean it's garbage.
@XFsWorld Whether you suck, you're brilliant or average at a game you are allowed to think it's not very good you know? There's plenty of games I'm awful at (Monkey Ball) that I love and brilliant at (COD, Battlefield, etc) yet really don't like.
@get2sammyb Bored me to tears. Just hated absolutely every second I played and wish I could have that time back. I couldn't stand the first either but gave the second a go... didn't like it. But, rather than get into a discussion on that game, the fact that I can't remove something like that from my own profile is stupid, like @Boerewors said. You could 'hide' certain games on PS3 but you can't on PS4. Bit daft.
Finally I can ditch equilibrium from my trophy list, possibly the worst game of all time woop woop. And Olli Olli 1. Yee haaaa.
Trophies at 0%? So I guess that means games you tried to see if the disc worked but never played. Some games will give you a trophy for pressing the start button to go beyond the title screen.
I actually like seeing that as you can see what each person has played.
I liked getting a gamerscore on XBL because I routinely got stuff for having over a certain amount, themes, avatars etc, but ultimately what does it matter?
Trophies, in my opinion are fairly redundant in the same way as GS, because they dont really mean anything.
For example, you could play Avatar(the anime one) and get 1000 for simply playing through.
Doesnt mean you are good or bad at games or anything.
Im a decent BF player, but dont have 100% plat on any of them, yet am still in the top 1% for dogtag kills.
But for those that want to remove a 0%, which I understand, this is a good thing.
@rastamadeus @XFsWorld Ahahaha.
The typical "if you dont like something, the only possible reason is because you suck" response.
Im guessing this guy plays CoD…
I agree, it isnt very good. And as we know its not possible for me to be any good as a result.
Here's reasons why I have 0% trophies:
My wife forgets to sign in to her profile on a game I won't ever play...
When my PS3 yellow lighted, the person fixing it tried putting in several discs of games I wasn't interested in, that have now forever been on my list...
A game that I loved and played, but the trophy list wasn't available at the time of play and I don't want to replay just for trophies (when the patch came in, it added it to mine)...
So I'm very happy to clean up my list a little.
I have red dead at 1% because I couldn't get into it - but I'm okay with it staying on my list.
@ToOGoodOfAPlaya Lol.
Oh so I can finally remove the final reminder that I played the last rebellion for 40 minutes, the nightmare is finally over.
I'll let some 0% games stay on my profile as a reminder that I still have to play them. i don't care that much about percentage anyway. My completion rate is about 60%. I do have some 0% games on my alternate that I started by mistake and that I'll gladly remove.
Er... this is balls.
I want to keep my Trophies from games where I've got 1%-5%, I just want to remove the game from the damn list, surely that's not too difficult is it?
I love Trophies for me they add replay value as I keep all my games, so I can go back to finish off a platinum in my own time.
Wtf am I reading? Seriously why do u people even care? How long exactly do u look at the screen marveling at your incomplete trophy list?! Get a life play some.games! Even when the feature comes I doubt I'll waste the time it will take to sift through my list and delete as they are all at the bottom out of sight out of mind. Stop putting in games u ain't going to play. Problem solved. Goodnight
@NEOTDS sometimes you don't know until you put the disc in. For people with compulsions, ocd and trophy haulers this is a big deal. Trophies are meta game in themselves. People have made careers out of achievement and trophy hunting, not to mention websites dedicated to the pursuit. People play games for a variety of reasons, fun, competition, achievement, the end screen , boredom etc. Trophies can tie this together and gives you a quick glimpse of what or how much effort they have put in. I dont collect trophies, but I wouldn't blame people who did - I just havnt got the time.
@NEOTDS Yeah. I don't think it's a problem so nobody should. Cracking attitude. You'll go far.
Ill never understand the idea of achievemnt/trophies, ive never care about them .
In fact, trophies should be things that feels you will do naturally, not stupid things like "Kill 10 enemies in the middle of WW3 while you are late for work/school"
I love trophies! Any game I really like I will hunt them in it.They give me a reason to keep playing that game after i hit the end. I see it as a personal photo book of my game play, how much I enjoyed the game and after a long time maybe even remind me of part in the game I forgot.
I have many more games with a low amount of trophies (over 100) that I don't feel a were great enough to trophy hunt in. Its no big deal but in a few cases they gave me many more hours of play time in games i loved.
@sonicmeerkat The Last Rebellion???? OMG IM NOT ALONE, I dont know why but the game gave me a weird vibe, i felt awkward playing it. And i dont know why to this day. some games, rarley any, but some do cause me to feel that way. Is that weird?
@Alpha It was just a bad game man, just a very bad game,
@NEOTDS Got to agree with you fella. Still, does seem to be important to some folk. First world problems and all that, I guess...
I sell a lot of games on eBay, which means I have to test the games before I sell them. I play most games for 10-20 minutes. Whenever I get one of the early-game trophies during these periods I always quietly curse to myself. I've grown to live with it, although I would LOVE to delete those 30+ one-trophy/achievement games off of my lists.
A good and easy way to reduce the number of resold games though.
