Yakuza Zero PS4 PlayStation 4

Sony needed the PlayStation 4 to perform spectacularly throughout March in Japan, and while it's not exactly posting vintage numbers, it's definitely doing decently. The console's sales actually increased marginally over the last week following the release of Yakuza Zero, posting around 33,826 units as per the latest Media Create report. This made it the best selling format of the week – about 2,000 units more than the cumulative total of Nintendo's many 3DS models.

Unsurprisingly, it was Yakuza Zero that topped the software charts, too, moving approximately 236,329 units across both PlayStation platforms. As has been consistent with previous releases, the PlayStation 3 version sold best, but the next-gen edition wasn't a million miles behind. It was a good week for the Vita, too, with the excellent looking Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth registering a respectable 76,760 units. This pushed sales of Sony's handheld platform up to 20,103 units for the week.

Perhaps most impressive of all, however, was the appearance of PlayStation Portable release Uta no Prince-Sama: All Star After Secret, which moved a staggering 67,237 units on the phased out format. We've included the full list of hardware and software sales below, so feel free to have a quick browse. Are you eager for any of these Japanese releases to come overseas?
