"Stay put, soldiers"

Crisis averted: the office Internet has been restored. Our first full day back at Push Square Towers has been spent on the phone to ISPs and in retail stores purchasing new routers and kit, but we're finally back in action – a few hours later than expected. Fortunately, it's the start of January not E3, so we haven't really missed much. Well, unless you count a very familiar looking UK sales chart.

Indeed, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare remained in first for the week ending 3rd January, securing its sixth term in the top spot. This is one more than Call of Duty: Ghosts, which is sure to have the folks at Sledgehammer Games beaming into their morning cuppas today. Elsewhere, Grand Theft Auto V finished second, with FIFA 15, Far Cry 4, and Assassin's Creed Unity rounding out the top five.

DriveClub bundles continued to steer Evolution Studios' racer to success, with the simcade exclusive finishing in ninth position, while fellow first-party titles LittleBigPlanet 3 and The Last of Us Remastered both maintained places in the overall Top 40. With very few new titles due out over the coming weeks, expect things to remain unchanged until Dying Light deploys. You can find out more through here.
