Hello, everyone – this is not your regular musou expert, Robert Ramsey. While he's busy adding another zero to his Samurai Warriors 4 play clock, though, we're here to tell you that Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires has been delayed. We're sure that this will come as a disappointment to some of you, but seeing as a new one of these titles gets released, like, every week, the break may do you good.
The title was originally due out at the end of January, but will now hack-and-slash its way onto store shelves on 24th February in North America and 27th February in Europe. It's coming to both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 – sorry, handheld fans. Apparently, this entry promises a slightly more tactical take on the series' slice-and-dice formula, but we'll let Tyneside's finest tell you all about that.

A question for the one who knows...
is dynasty warriors 8 empires a completely new game with lots of new stuff or is it just an updated version of xtreme legends dynasty warriors 8: complete edition? And if it is the second is it worth buying it if you already own extreme legends?
@darkswabber The Empires games are almost completely different. Same core hack and slash gameplay, same engine, but they have nothing to do with the main series.
They take the characters and the time period, and use them in a different formula. There's a lot of role-playing, a bit of strategy, and a much more dynamic flow to how the game plays out.
You pick an officer or make your own, choose whether you want to be a ruler or a soldier, join or create a kingdom, and then fight to take over the whole of China.
Guys I'm killing myself to convince Tecmo Koei brings Bladestorm: Nightmare on Vita these days.
I'm spamming them everywhere,do you think I have a chance?
@italodance Unfortunately, I don't think it's going to happen. Unless it's stated at the time the game's revealed, Koei Tecmo stand pretty firm in what consoles are getting the game. But hey, at least it's bringing over a bunch of other games to Vita this year.
I haven't finished Xtreme Legends yet ;_;
@darkswabber Robert is right. While Xtreme legends normally just extends the normal title's lifespan, Empires is completely different with the empire mode with little differences between each incarnation. In number 7's it was very strategical where you control history per say. Want an alliance, make countries might against each other or get an officer to backstab their country, all possible in empires. Best wait for the review if you aren't sure though.
@nicolahayden @shogunrok thank you both for the answer. I'm probably going to buy it then.
