You can’t have a Grand Theft Auto game without a licensed soundtrack. While it’s the part of the package that often gets overlooked, it’s usually the icing on the cake as far as we’re concerned – after all, we daresay that Grand Theft Auto: Vice City got a few of the younger among you into eighties music in the first place. You can admit it.
As avid listeners of the excellent Non-Stop Pop station – All Saints, FTW – we were already rather fond of Grand Theft Auto V’s track listing, but were excited to learn that it was being extended as part of the title’s PlayStation 4 re-release. And now a partial list of added songs has been collated on NeoGAF, so get ready to browse for your favourite artists.
It’s worth noting that there may well be even more tunes in the final game, but this is the best that we have to go on for now. Noteworthy inclusions for this author include Jermaine Stewart and Billy Ocean – but we’re sure that you’ll find something that you like down below. Remember, there’s also new radio DJ content to go hand-in-hand with the fresh sounds. Boom!

Awesome!
Backstreet Boys!My prayers have been answered!
Wow that's quite substantial. Love it!
"we daresay that Grand Theft Auto: Vice City got a few of the younger among you into eighties music in the first place. You can admit it."
Guilty as charged.
The pop station looks real good. Not that many of the more popular or common choices id say for the rest of them
The lack of MJ is unforgivable.
To be brutally honest, this is just more crap I have to sift through to get to Kenny Loggins. That said...
DANGER ZONE
Jaime Lidell is in. That is all that matters. Nice to also hear Gorillaz and M.I.A but William (I'm not spelling his name how he moronically does it) has two songs? Which coin purse decided that?
@Punished_Boss_84 @get2sammyb The '80s is by far the best decade for music: Adam and The Ants, The Smiths, Paul Simon, The Clash, OMD, The Jam, Joy Division, New Order, one of Bowie's best periods, Pet Shop Boys, Human League, Michael Jackson, Jesus and The Mary Chain, The Stone Roses, Dinosaur Jr, Prince, The Cure Pixies, Talking Heads... it's the only decade that can realistically compete with the the '60s holy grail.
Hip to be square. Turds on everything else on that list.
@Gamer83 Yay! I'm so happy they've included Peace of Mind from Boston, too.
Mike Posner always made me want to commit an atrocity, rock star must have known that, so it was considerate of them to include it here.
Plus Yes, Alice in Chains and Kenny Loggins? TAKE ALL OF MY CASH YOU MAGNIFICENT BEAST!
Still skipping the hip hop stations immediately though. Ugh.
There is a serious lack of metal. Come on rockstar, give me some candlemass and grimreaper. Give me some disgorge, pathology. Give me some origin and obscura. How bout some napalmdeath or benediction. Dang, I'd be happy jus with some arch enemy. Believe it or not heavy metal is epic, exciting and tonnes of people love it.
@Bad-MuthaAdebis Do you like Huey Lewis and the News?
Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far much more bitter, cynical sense of humor.
@Gmork___ I always said there should be a Sunn 0))) Yob, and Sleep version of Guitar Hero. The guitar only has one button on the neck.
It's brown.
@Johnnycide I like it because I want to fit in.
@Johnnycide lol I loves me some Phil Collins . And horror movies for that matter. Good job johnnycide, hilarious
@Johnnycide if you're into doom/sludge metal you should check out coffins! Awesome Japanese band
@Gamer83
Lol
Well there's plenty of tunes to listen to while cruzin the barrio
In all seriousness, I do give Rockstar credit for putting together some good soundtracks for these games. I don't know if it's because I grew up in the 80s (was born in 83 but still have some good memories of 87-89) but Vice City will always rank among the top for me. That entire game was just dripping 80s cheesiness and awesomeness. V's version of Los Santos kind of brought that laid back atmosphere back and had some of my favorite 70s, 80s and 90s hits. I'm the whitest white boy there is but I'm glad to see some 2Pac and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony were added to GTA V's already great soundtrack. We Built This City is a guilty pleasure. Such an awful song but for me it's one of those 'so bad it's good' deals.
@Gmork___ I will do, thanks for the recommendation. I'd say Doom is the one genre I never get a bit bored of. That and they have arguably the nicest vinyl.
heh , william ocean .
