Watch Dogs may be the fastest selling new franchise of all time – but it’s about to have that record snatched away. Like a larger puppy that’s spied a particularly pleasant pack of Bonio biscuits, Bungie’s colossal first-person shooter Destiny is waiting in the wings, ready to pounce upon all of the delicious accolades for itself.
Still, that’s not stopped Ubisoft’s hack happy escapade from stretching its legs and breathing the air of success one last time, as it’s rocketed up the UK sales charts into second position on the back of retailer promotions. The sandbox saga was flanked by Metro Redux and The Last of Us Remastered, both of which continue to perform well on the PlayStation 4.
Elsewhere, next-gen re-release Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition farmed yet more loot in fifth, as Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare started to wilt in eighth. Minecraft: PlayStation 3 Edition and Grand Theft Auto V rounded out the top ten, as Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair debuted in a respectable 29th place.
We would ask you what you’re planning to purchase over the coming days, but we already know the answer: Destiny. As such, we’ll refer you to Chart-Track’s official website, and call it a day. We suspect that this charts thing is going to be pretty darn predictable over the coming weeks, don’t you?

I'm just hoping the servers stand up to the onslaught of players!
It sucks it's always online but I'm really looking forward to it.
PSN downtime is incoming!
Even though I really like the Sims the new one just doesn't seem remotely worth it though I'm not surprised it made number 1.
Guess the announcement of the new campaign DLC incoming spiked sales.
@Punished_Boss Don't say that!
@get2sammyb
It's true though. XBL will probably crash too. GTA V wrecked both last year, Destiny will definitely do the same.
I don't think I'll get Destiny at launch to many other games I want this time of year (Fantasy Life, Smash 3DS and Baynetta 2+1 being a few), I might get it later though when it is slightly cheaper in the Christmas rush.

There's no such thing as jinxing, this is a sure fire hit.
If Minecraft on PS4 can do it, then Destiny is going to be a piece of cake.
Why dont people just wait one more day and not get frustrated to play Destiny?
@N711 WHAT? IMPOSSIBLE!
@Punished_Boss lol I thought my suggestion made sense instead of going on and on about PSN in the comments tomorrow
I kinda hope Destiny flops but it won't
My copy hasn't even been despatched
@Punished_Boss It'll be chaos.
Just delivering that final blow to a strike boss and BOOM! Disconnected.
I think this game is awesome, I'm glade to see it's doing great.
