Those of you that are veterans in the PlayStation Nation may be struggling to believe that Final Fantasy XV is an actual game, but this tech demo by Square Enix proves that the publisher at least has a functional prototype finished after eight long years of work. The clip – which can be found approximately 22 minutes into the embedded video – shows an arena battle with a Behemoth and a bunch of goblins, as well as the weather and time of day technology that the developer has built.
Perhaps the most exciting thing, however, is that it’s all played with a DualShock 4, meaning that the studio has the basis of an actual game these days. It looks great, too – rain dries naturally as time passes by, and the areas underneath objects don’t get wet when it’s pouring down. The most impressive thing, though: Noctis and crew manage to maintain that salon look – even when they’re getting absolutely drenched. We must buy some of their hair gel for ourselves.

Okay... Release after 2015 confirmed judging by this. Damnit!
I don't believe you.
I hope SE release a video of Leona Lewis pretending to play this and just cringe everywhere.
@SuperSilverback Don't even joke about that, you sick individual.
@ShogunRok she just wants to run about the land with a game that has insane graphics. Whats wrong with that?
I dont enjoy saying this, but i havent been remotely interested in a ff game since ffx. Heres hoping xv rekindles some love because i do miss it.
@BigDaddyT0101 you aint the only one buddy. Altho its been since 12 for me. You should check FF14 ARR if you havnt already, great game
this only gives me more faith in the FF franchise, I just hope they keep on pushing the visuals so we can get a true PS4 experience.
Last ff game I truly enjoyed was 12. I thought 7 through 12 were some of the best RPGs ever made. I hope 15 is the return to the ff of old. 13 never made sense to me. I want towns and secrets. A true rpg. Not an arcade rework on rails
This better not be a FF13 type of game. This better be an open world with hidden/secret bosses as well as hidden/secret weapons and a ton of exploring and finding awesome things. SE owes a lot of gamers a huge FF game so this better be it. If this is another linear pile of crap, I wouldn't doubt to see them really in a pickle.
Man that behemoth is awesome, very Harryhausen. Now I want a 7th Voayage of Sinbad game.
Count me in as loving the old FF games but not having much use for the newer ones. Even 12, which I liked, was only good after the story was over and I spent 100 hours playing monster hunter. I blame it all on the Bouncer, changed Square for the worse.
I just hope the hype is justified this time. I remember getting XIII when it launched and after playing through it... -Sigh-
loved every minute of it especially scene with the combat will look like first day buy for me!
