We thoroughly enjoyed Velocity 2X here at Push Square. In fact, we liked the shmup so much that we awarded it the rare and coveted 10/10. One of our favourite things about the title was the way that it kept its gameplay fresh right until the very last level. In the interest of not spoiling things, we won't explain what happens at the conclusion, but trust us when we say that the game pulls an impressive trick.
At any rate, the title's developer FuturLab has recently announced a new DLC pack which consists entirely of the type of level specific to the title's closing moments. What's more, the new content will be arriving remarkably soon: today in North America, and tomorrow in Europe. Did you enjoy Velocity 2X? Will you be picking up this DLC? Need more XP to get to level 44, so idk about the DLC yet
For me the worst levels of the game, no way I'm gonna buy this DLC and I bought the first one.
I wonder, do you able to play on ps4? I really need touchscreen capability for warping, so on ps4 I always crash while speed running
@divinelite How does it work on Vita? I have only played it on the PS4 and warping is quite easy with the DS4, is it that much better with the Vita? I rarely play my Vita anymore because of the stupid rear touch pad.
@XFsWord: Same here. I was hoping to go back and pick up more XP this past weekend but I got caught up in the Smash Bros Demo lol.
Any idea how much the DLC costs?
@thedevilsjester I touch where I want to warp on vita screen. That's very awesome for speed running. Using square button on ps4 is so much a hassle
I don't know yet able to use touchscreen on ds4, will try it again
@ferrers405
Yup, I hated those levels. This DLC is a no-go unfortunately. I wish they'd make some DLC strictly based on the on-foot sections.
Despite it being obvious it was not for me from the start, I tried it anyway.
Did not enjoy any of the 40 or so mins I played.
So a no for me.
No idea what happened at the end, but it seems that those that enjoyed the game didn't enjoy that part!
The first time these kind of levels appeared they broke my mind, but after a while you learn to multitask and have double vision.
