Activision just wrapped up its Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare multiplayer reveal with a surprise announcement: the Day Zero Edition. This will be available to anyone that pre-orders the first-person shooter, and will allow you to get a headstart in the game by enabling you to join the action 24 hours early.
You’ll need to make those extra minutes count, too, as there’ll be a Double XP session during that early access period. You'll also get a couple of extra firearms. This offer will be available on the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 3, as well as additional platforms. However, the publisher did warn that the details may vary depending on region, so we’re awaiting official information, and will update when we know more.
Update: The only catch appears to be that Day Zero Editions will be available in limited quantities in stores, so if you're buying a physical copy, you're probably going to want to ensure that you're top of the list. It's also worth adding that this offer extends to the digital version, so presumably your pre-load will unlock a day earlier if you purchase from the PlayStation Store.

@Jazzer94 Just you wait for Day -30 edition, get access by preordering the collectors edition!
Misleading headline much? Can play it early on all platforms if you pre-order, not just PS4. Not a criticism by the way, know the story is still breaking so you're still writing it all.
@Punished_Boss Double XP for a month if you preorder withen an hour of the games reveal.
@Jazzer94 it would be really sad and funny if that happened!
I heard if you preorder the call of duty after this one now you get to play 2 days early.
3 types of supply drops... Sound like battle packs... Also I bet you'll be able to purchase them with real life currency(hate that already). I don't even know if I even want to try this. Is it at least 60fps? After ghosts -30, I'm not too keen.
@rastamadeus Agreed but someone will be along to tell you that they're 'a playstation website so focus on the platforms we write about'.
sigh Wish CoD would stop getting so much attention (although it generates clicks, so I can see how it makes sense). I don't want it to die or whatever, but I wish it would move into class of games like LoL, Dota and WoW; VERY mainstream, played by millions, but doesn't really get much news coverage. Most gamers have stopped caring about this franchise, but it's rammed down our throats regularly. Case in point, I use Appy Gamer app to read up on gaming news. Even big, breaking stories only have 4-5 articles from various feeds. The latest CoD MP news had THIRTEEN consecutive articles, with another 3 further down. That's 13 articles of "Latest CoD MP news" in a ROW! WHY?!
The proof that people don't care? They were ALL marked either as "don't care" or as "game over" by the community readers.
In summary, gamers don't care, news sites over-report (if that's a word).
Also, @rastamadeus PushSquare always report Sony platforms. Conversely, PureXbox only report MS platforms. I think they are sister sites, with differing focus. Most people who read these sites know that, hence why they don't get shit for it.
@seeafish
Don't forget NintendoLife
So... are huge jumps the new "only 2 guns at a time"?
Titanfall, Destiny, now this.
I like FPS, but fugg me, they do like to imitate. I'm just waiting on "Battlefield 5 - Kangaroo Krack Kommandos" where your soldiers will run around on Poweriser kangaroo stilts, doing forward flips with an LMG to take out a tank and a helicopter at the same time. :-/
@Paranoimia Now that sounds like a game I could get into. Haha
@rastamadeus you really dont care for the PS brand much do you? Always shooting things down in flames!!! This is PUSH SQUARE. You know? It reports all things PLAYSTATION.
You dont walk into a BMW showroom, and have the staff handing out fliers for the Mercedes place over the street, Now do you!!??!!
@Paranoimia soldiers dressed in kangaroo suits? . You're wandering into the realms of fantasy now!
@Paranoimia Is that good or bad? I can't tell.
I thought this CoD don't come to ps3
