Hitler where it hurts

EA Sports UFC is going down, down in an earlier round, as Rebellion’s oddly satisfying Sniper Elite III has cocked its rifle and pulled the trigger on the UK charts. Despite launching on next-gen and last-gen systems, the release commanded 65 per cent of sales on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with Sony’s latest machine ultimately winning the skirmish.

Watch Dogs continued to prove its popularity in second, as last week’s aforementioned front runner entered the octagon in third this time around. Elsewhere, well received World War II shooter Wolfenstein: The New Order aimed for fifth, with FIFA 14 and racing sequel GRID Autosport occupying sixth and seventh respectively.

Minecraft continued to keep a grip on the best sellers list, with the physical PS3 release building a path into tenth position, one spot behind the equally popular Xbox 360 edition. Sadly, Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark proved that it doesn’t quite have the touch, debuting outside of the top ten in 12th position. inFAMOUS: Second Son at least climbed a few spots, leaping into 26th place.
