Dragon Ball's first PlayStation 4 venture will be subtitled Xenoverse, and according to this E3 trailer, it focuses on altering the well known events of the Dragon Ball Z timeline.
The video itself is pretty much what you'd expect. It looks like it boasts a combat system similar to what we've seen in the Budokai Tenkaichi games, rather than a return to the more traditional mechanics found in the Budokai trilogy. You can also catch a glimpse of the red haired personality who's already been spotted in the title's first screenshots. Is your hair standing on end after watching the clip that we've embedded? Looks to be fun as usual. I'm glad they seem to be going back to a Tenkaichi style, yet at the same time dissapointed they're no longer experimenting.
Looks promising.
Oh no, I'm going to buy this aren't I?
Budokai>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>being stabbed with a rusty spoon in my most sensitive place>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>budokai tenchaichi
It's a no for me if it is split screen.
Does anyone know if the gameplay will be more like the original Tenkaichi games? Im still waiting on another game that they could make with gameplay like that. I hope it will be like that!
@Alpha well as it's being made by Dimps I'm guess it might be more like the original Budokai games or Burst Limit as they made those games and it is what most fans have been asking for a return to the Budokai way
@FullbringIchigo well.... That ain't bad. I actually loved budokai 3 and burst limit. I didn't much care for battle of z.... it was better on vita than ps3 in my opinion.
@Alpha yeah I thought that too and honestly Battle of Z felt like a game that was made for the Vita and ported to consoles as an after thought maybe to cover the one new console game a year clause that toei had in the lincence contract
