Far Cry 3 was a rather chaotic game at times, and Far Cry 4 looks to settle into an equally ridiculous rhythm with its very first gameplay walkthrough.
Shown at Sony's E3 2014 press conference without the accompanying commentary, we get a good look at just some of the trouble you can get yourself into within Ubisoft's upcoming open world. As you'd expect, there are plenty of ways to take down your foes. You can strap explosives to objects and kick them off a height, jump from a moving vehicle and get stabby, or just coax an elephant into going mental inside of an enemy compound. Looks amazing and elephants! Woohoo! Seriously though Farcry 3 was one of my favourite games last gen, so this will be a day 1 for me.
Already pre-ordered this, looks awesome as expected.
@Gamer83 Ubisoft will be getting a stack of my money this winter, Unity 28th October, The Crew 11th November and Far Cry 4 20th November. That's why they are my favourite third party lol
@Mrskinner
AC: Unity and Far Cry 4 are musts. Might get The Crew as well but with LBP 3 announced, I may make that my third holiday game instead, I really liked LBP Vita and have been waiting for the next in the series. Regardless, most of my money appears it will go Ubi's way. I'm also still interested in the PS3 AC eventhough I'm pretty close to completely moving on and packing up the PS3 for storage.
@Gamer83 Yep, I would still like to see the PS3 AC game also. Is it still called Comet?
@Mrskinner
Well, with Ubisoft not even so much as whispering about it this E3, I'd say I don't even know if it still exists... but seriously, that was the subtitle last I knew, could've changed but I don't remember reading that if it did.
@Gamer83 Yeah, I thought it very strange that it wasn't even mentioned in passing. I wonder if it still is out there, seems like the Ubi studios have been busy without that as a distraction!
Oh my gawd. Looks like an insanely fun game. This and Witcher 3 is the best gameplay I've seen so far on ps4.
Another brilliant game to look forward to.
@Mrskinner
Some gameplay will probably pop up at one of the booths. What I'm wondering is how big the game will be. With AC Unity clearly the focus as far as the series is concerned, and other big undertakings like FC 4 and The Crew on the table and drawing the hype, it's entirely possible Comet may be a very shallow AC experience. I'd imagine if Comet was coming along very nicely they'd at least say something about it because there's still about 140 million PS3 and X360 owners who haven't made the jump yet and AC is probably Ubi's biggest series aside from Just Dance.
Looks boring, as expected!!!
@Gamer83 This game looks like the uncharted 2 part which was my favorite part:D Buy indeed
@Sanquine
For PS3 I'm guessing? Or do you have a PS4 now?
Damn this is mine!
Looks brilliant, Far Cry 3 was good this looks even better cannot wait.
@Gamer83 Nope, will order a PS4 for this game. It's the moment i was waiting for. Ubisoft clearly has a better view what sort of games people want on a new system. Microsoft and Sony both dropped the ball... Sony has 12 studios and MS had a gazillion dollars invested in games but still both were boring.. Aisha Tyler needs to go away though... It's the one thing i hate about ubisoft.. Please give me more Jade raymond
@Sanquine
I was actually a little more impressed with Sony's and MS' first party offerings than I thought I would. Both could still improve, obviously, and I would expect Sony's would. Guerilla has an RPG, Santa Monica is working on something, Bend has to be working on either PS4 or Vita. Sony's been playing stuff closer to the vest than I'd like, LBP 3 kind of shows that as it was a surprise announcement though not the huge one I was kind of hoping for. Hopefully at Gamescom and TGS some of these studios will be turned loose. More likely Gamescom, TGS has to be used to show support from the all the major Japanese third parties across various genres, but especially RPGs to get the PS4 selling in Japan.
As far as Ubisoft, yeah, they get it. It's one of the studios that is consistently trying to put out those big AAA games that I like, but it also mixes in other types of games, whether indie or 'casual.' There's something for everyone.
@Gamer83 maybe it's possible they didn't want to unveil both ac's at once because they didn't want a) confusion of which was for which system and b) a negative reaction if people were more excited about the last gen one. They wanted to ride on the positive good news. Possibly.
Am I the only one who's really excited about the coop in FC4? I've been yearning for the feature since FC2! FC3's side missions were okay but too linear and lacking what made the campaign great: chaos and complete freedom of choice.
I might even double-dip on this one and buy it on PS4 and on Steam!
@Mrskinner I agree. I loved Farcry 3 so much i said "why not ill get the platinum, i cant get enough of this game at all!" I seriously cannot wait at all until this new one comes out! Ill definitlly be getting it!
