"It's getting closer"

Retailers appear to be gathering around a 20th June release date for Naughty Dog’s hotly anticipated re-release, The Last of Us Remastered. The ever observant GameSpot noted that top North American outlets such as GameFly and Best Buy have all coalesced around the post-E3 date, which makes perfect sense for the platform holder. Sony previously said that it was targeting a summer launch.

Of course, it’s unclear whether this is merely a case of the above stores playing follow the leader, or simply having a good guess. Amazon.com currently lists the upgrade’s release as 31st December, so it clearly hasn’t received any additional information from the platform holder. It remains to be seen whether the abovementioned outfits have been in contact with the firm. Nevertheless, with summer only a couple of months away, we’re sure that we’ll be learning more imminently.
