Saints Row IV has been sworn in at the top of the UK sales charts, fending off strong competition from Splinter Cell: Blacklist. Ubisoft’s sneak-‘em-up settled its night vision goggles on second place, while pricey toy platform Disney Infinity finished in third. Isn’t it nice to be able to talk about some new games for a change?
Volition’s wacky open world adventure netted the fourth largest launch of the year – behind Tomb Raider, BioShock Infinite, and The Last of Us – but still couldn’t better Saints Row: The Third’s first week sales. The Bureau: XCOM Declassified struggled to match the success of its predecessor, too, debuting in tenth on the best-sellers list.
Elsewhere, the likes of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, FIFA 13, LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, and The Last of Us rounded out the top ten. As always, you can peruse the full rundown of movers and shakers through here. Have any new titles tickled your wallet into submission lately? Let us know in the comments section below.

Isn't wonderful 101 in UK already released or is it next week?
Have you guys gotten Project Diva F yet?
@Lelouch Sega have delayed it till the 4th September
@MadchesterManc That's not so bad. I'll be getting it around the same time since I plan on waiting 'til next Tuesday to pick it up.
@divinelite Yes it did launch in the UK on Friday last week and has bombed sadly "there is also a new face at No22; the Wii U exclusive ‘The Wonderful 101’." its also rumoured to have bombed in Japan also.
Topic: Those three games did better than expected from my POV, always nice to see variety on this list but fall should change things up a bit.
I thought it will at least got to the top 20, guess I was wrong
Infinity surprise me as this game is very expensive
Good to see both Saints Row IV and Splinter Cell: Blacklist doing well. Really like what I've played of each game so far.
