Dead Premonition 2 Could Take Place in an English Market Town

Chatting to us as part of his world tour, Deadly Premonition: Director's Cut creator Hidetaka 'SWERY' Suehiro has hinted that he is already pondering his next title – but whether it gets made depends on the success of the upcoming re-release. “We are in discussion about moving onto the next project,” he teased. “It all depends how widely Director's Cut is accepted.”

Should the hotly anticipated sequel ever get the go-ahead, though, it may not take place in the existing setting of Greenvale. Producer Tomio Kanazawa noted that he has recommended Hitchin, a small English market town in the heart of Hertfordshire, as the potential backdrop for the follow-up. “I love Hitchin,” he grinned. “It's a very nice town.”

Asked if the cobbled streets home to publisher Rising Star Games’ office could feasibly make their way into the hypothetical sequel, SWERY was purposefully coy. “I can’t say ‘yes’, but maybe,” he beamed. “It’s a secret. I’m thinking about a lot of things.“
