God of War: Ascension Beta Rises for Worthy Warriors

Those of you that have unlocked God of War: Ascension beta vouchers via the title’s online social game Rise of the Warriors will be able to download the client right now. The file weighs in at a whopping 1.4GB, so make sure you’ve got plenty of spare hard drive space.

There’s currently no other way to access the trial, but we’re expecting Sony to announce alternative opportunities shortly. Why not peruse our hands-on impressions of the controversial component while you wait? The full game's due out in March.

Update: That was fast. Sony has just confirmed that the God of War: Ascension beta will be available to PlayStation Plus subscribers from 8th January in North America and 9th January in Europe.
