Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 may not be selling as well as its predecessors, but it’s still utterly dominating the UK sales charts. The first-person shooter has held onto its position at the top of the best sellers list, forcing new release Far Cry 3 into second. That's despite the insanity simulator securing the ninth biggest launch of the year.

Elsewhere, the chart has settled into a familiar pattern. FIFA 13 grabbed a Champions League spot in third, while Hitman Absolution dropped into fourth. Assassin’s Creed III slipped into fifth, as Need for Speed: Most Wanted parked in tenth. Ratchet & Clank: Q-Force missed out on the top forty entirely, while Wonderbook: Book of Spells continued to hover around the middle of the charts.
